NATO WARSAW SUMMIT - INFORMATION ON TRANSPORT FOR MEDIA - MEDIA SHUTTLE BUSES A special transport service (shuttle buses) for journalists accredited for the NATO Summit will be provided between 7 July from 8.00 and 10 July until 16.00. Four special bus lines will link recommended media hotels to the venue of the NATO summit. From 7 till 9 July, many streets in central Warsaw will be closed and some bus and tram services will be diverted to alternative routes. All guests arriving to the NATO Summit will receive a special Warsaw NATO Summit Card. The card allows use of the Warsaw public transport system: bus, tram, metro and SKM (city train) services between 5 and 10 July, 24/7. It allows free entry to the most of city s cultural institution, including the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, which presents the thousand-year history of Polish Jews, and the Warsaw Rising Museum, which is a tribute of Warsaw s residents to those who fought and died for independent Poland and its free capital, as well as the Royal Castle in Warsaw Museum Residence of Kings and the Republic of Poland, the National Museum in Warsaw and the Royal Łazienki Park- Museum. Special displays and guided tours are available, too at the Polish Army Museum and Katyń Museum. Visits are free of charge from 8th to 10th July. Taxi There are several taxi companies available in Warsaw. They can be found at taxi ranks or ordered by phone or mobile apps. Recommended city s taxi is MPT: +48 22 191 19 or MPT taxi app, there are also Ecocar +48 123 456 789 or Elletaxi +48 22 811 11 11 or mytaxi app. Taxi fee from Chopin s Airport to City Centre is around 40 PLN (may vary up to traffic). Getting into the taxi is worth paying attention to: correct labeling of taxis, or yellow-red band (in the colors of Warsaw) with the number of lateral taxi, which should be under the coat of arms of the City of Warsaw; In the upper right corner of the windshield of the car should be a sticker with a hologram, a taxi driver license number and vehicle registration number; inside the vehicle should be special identifier bearing the hologram, a photo of the driver and his first and last name; In the upper left corner of the glass rear right door should be two-sided plaque indicating the outside of the glass price for 1 km in the area of tariff; reverse plates, as seen from the passenger seat, should include the fee schedule.
