Remember to set your printer to omit this page when running off copies.using this document. The booklets are all produced using MS Publisher, so that is necessary on the computer being used. This document is created with the English text in text frames, allowing you to modify it as necessary (eg. inserting individual school name). The translations* are inserted as separate frames, which can be adjusted in size, colour, etc, and moved around as required, but be careful to place them correctly as to meaning. The photographs are inserted in the same way and can be replaced with updated versions when required. (*Note: Somali & Portuguese use the Roman alphabet, so are entered as text, not pictures.) The second-language text pictures are named with their translation (or first words): to identify this, right-click on the picture frame, select change picture and then graphics manager, and the title should appear. Titles are preceded by H for Hindi, U for Urdu, P for Panjabi, F for Farsi, B for Bengali, G for Gudjerati. You can lift out these pictures and use them for other purposes, eg notices, by pasting them into new documents, enlarging as required. When altering or moving illustrations you may find the text nearby will move as well as a result (and cause subsequent pages text to move as well). To adjust for this you may need to reduce picture frames slightly, move pictures by nudging (under Arrange tool), or deleting/inserting a blank text line at some point. Files on the disc are copies of the booklet in various languages without pictures, copies of the booklet in various languages with pictures & names appropriate to your school, and a folder with all the non-roman texts as picture files. The file names should make clear what each file is. A # sign has been put on files that are completed, as at the time of writing a few are missing minor pieces of translation.
