Golubski Glenn Burkey & Lena Grauel (II) The visitors to empty tomb sing Exultet in one great voice. It is ancient hymn which all of us sing each time we attend Mass as we celebrate that same feast which commemorates triumph of light over darkness, joy over sadness. The young and old, homeless person in polyester rags and wealthy one in Gucci; chronically ill with HIV or a myriad of or illnesses and healthy who live without help of even an aspirin or with little concern for universal health care; lonely who are depressed and social butterflies who make it look like y are not alone; skinny crack-heads and obese eating addicts; gifted singers, jealous singers, bad singers and singers who earnestly try to praise God with ir voices; jocks and geeks all sinners by fault of our first parents, now all invited to empty tomb filled with a light which invites us all to share in a new life. The visitors include you and me, everyone on earth and everyone who has died. Adam and Eve are first in line followed closely by Moses and Aaron, David and Solomon, Isaiah and Hosea. John Paul Great approaches tomb along with Fr. William Gulas, toger singing God s praises. St. Theresa of Calcutta and latest victim of cancer join hands as y sing of Christ who ransomed us with His blood. Abraham and Isaac sing to true lamb who was slain, whose blood consecrates homes of all believers. The valiant soldiers and veterans who gave ir lives in all wars of world sing of pillar of fire which destroyed darkness of sin. The children aborted before ir eyes were opened to see ir own fars and mors sing now to one Far y see in eternity, declaring His wonderful care for m and for everyone who would have shared ir love if given chance. The white water flowing from pierced heart of Jesus dispels all evil, washes guilt away, restores lost innocence, brings mourners joy. It casts out hatred, brings us peace, and humbles earthly pride. The red blood which flows from that same heart weds heaven to earth as all humanity is reconciled with God. The blood is solemn offering, life of lamb, which now feeds us in Eucharist, banquet of Lamb. Angels join hands with paralyzed and those with arms blown off by bombs to raise high flame. The blind boldly lead light to mingle with heavens to continue bravely burning to dispel darkness of night. The dead of universe rise with Christ, Morning Star, to keep flame of new light burning for eternity. This is EXULTET we sing today and each by regular sinners as we praise Far who raised His Son from dead and n sent us His Spirit to give us chance to live with Him and to brea life into all creation forever and ever! PASTORAL MESSAGE January 3 Stycznia 2010 Easter: New Reality or Old Story? We read in gospel reading for today that women were making ir way on Easter morning to tomb where Jesus was buried. When y got re, y encountered a problem: who will roll back stone that had been placed at entrance of tomb? Perhaps, this little story that I remember reading some time ago. A man had an angry quarrel with his far. As a result he had not spoken to his far for several years, even though he lived a couple miles down road. He was an only child; his mor had died. So now far was living alone. His world was getting smaller and darker with each passing day. He wasn t yet dead, but in a sense he was already in a tomb. We marvel at power that Jesus had to raise people from dead, and rightly so. But did you ever think that each of us can same? For instance, son in story had power to roll away stone from his far s tomb. With a kind word or gesture he could set his far free from tomb of loneliness and despair. In helping his far he would have helped himself. It is one of great rewards of life that we cannot raise anor without raising ourselves at same time. Easter at home was a feast filled with anticipation and gratitude. Mom and Dad provided our family of eight children with a nice, clean house; a table laden with a variety of foods freshly baked ham, boiled sausage; wonderful bakery and pastry; all Easter baskets for each of us filled to brim with chocolates, jelly beans, and little surprises. I remember twenty-inch, solid chocolate Easter Bunny standing with a bag overflowing with jelly beans - which little by little we would carve away until it was all gone. Easter was a new lease on life, a new start, always with promise that through Lent we would become new and dedicated followers of risen Christ. Wear permitting, Mom and Dad would fit all of us into back seat of a 1940 Plymouth and we would head out to Calvary Cemetery. On a beautiful, sunny day we would stand at gravesite of our grandparents, reflect in silence what it must be like for m in heaven; how rolling, green landscape reminded us of a beautiful faraway land, filled with sunlight, peace and joy, friendship and love, company of Jesus and His Mor. Even now when I preside at a committal service at cemetery memories of past evoke a longing to be reunited with those who preceded me knowing that y have always remained a part of my life and I a part of irs. It s always pleasant to remember our own faithful departed even though now and n we shed a tear not of remorse, but of sadness. Easter reminds me of many people that I encountered in my life in various places, and under various circumstances. It reminds me of brevity of life, and never-ending gift of eternal life. It reminds me of futility of placing our trust in material, corruptible possessions. Easter reminds me, and all of us, that we will be invited into Kingdom prepared for us from foundation of world. Let this Easter be for all of us A New Reality, and not simply a repeat of Old Story of our life! - Fr. Ciemność to w sensie biblijnym rzeczywistość lęku, grzechu i śmierci. Chrystus przeprowadza ją do światła. On jest Światłem, oświecającym człowieka. Światło jest symbolem życia. Ono pozwala człowiekowi chodzić w wolności i prawdzie. Wschodzące słońce pokazuje Marii Magdalenie odsunięty kamień. Zaniepokojona tym widokiem biegnie do uczniów. Maria biegnie do Piotra i Jana. To najbliżsi uczniowie Jezusa. Uczniowie są pogrążeni w smutku i żałobie. Zostali sami. Widzi leżące płótna i zwinięta chustę. Zobaczył i uwierzył. Jan kocha i widzi znaki. Widzi i wierzy. To pozwoli nam zrozumieć więcej. 0. Pacyfik

Shrine Church of ST. STANISLAUS Tegoroczny rekolecjonista, o. SAVE THE DATE! The annual Four Eagle Award Banquet and Silent Auction will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010, at 6 pm in Social Center. The cost of a ticket will be $65. The Four Eagle event is celebrated in order to give recognition to individuals or groups who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to Saint community. This year we will honor late Mel Kurtz, for Kurtz Family, founders of Kurtz Brors, Inc.; and late Rich DiGeronimo, for DiGeronimo Family, founders of Precision Environmental and Independence Excavating. These family-owned companies have been helpful in many ways, especially in donating much toward recent razing of former convent and with ongoing work in our school. Without ir help, we would still be struggling with that concern. Instead, we are able to prepare a beautiful park in honor of Nazareth Sisters who served here for over a century. This is also one of major fundraisers for our parish. These funds are raised to support continued advancement of spiritual, educational, and cultural mission of this shrine parish. We have so much to be thankful for and know so many in need. So, save date! Make room for delicious food, save money for wonderful auction items, and talk to your friends (both inside and outside parish) to reserve a table for this fun event. More information will be forthcoming. Mark May 7 on your calendar and join us in Social Center. Divine Mercy Next, April 11, is Divine Mercy. That afternoon we will have our annual Easter Mass for Sick and Homebound along with anointing of those who wish this service. At end of Mass we recite Divine Mercy chaplet. (about 3 PM). Please get word out to those in who might want to attend this special liturgy. Little White Books The little white books containing reflections for Easter season are now available at both entrances to church. ST. STANS HISTORICAL FACT by Rob Jagelewski. Our parish takes up a collection for St. Vincent de Paul Society every month. Upon his ordination as a priest, Vincent s life was dedicated to corporal and spiritual works of mercy, most notably among sick, poor, and galley prisoners of France. In order to meet se needs, Vincent founded Congregation of Missions, more commonly known as Vincentians. The priests worked among poor in missions and helped establish seminaries to provide proper education for future clergy. Our local St. Vincent de Paul chapter at Name Church takes its name from Frederic Ozanam. He was inspired by Vincent s work and in 1832 he created St. Vincent de Paul Society. This Society, made up of laymen and women, quietly performs corporal works of mercy among poor in local parishes. EASTER COLLECTION Remember, Easter Collection is used to help pay for our annual property insurance, which this year will cost us over $60,000 more if we do not pay on time. Please remember this when you make your envelope this week!
