We are currently seeking classmates for a celebration this fall. Contact Letitia Kozial 773/637-7666 or Jo Ann Casali at jcasali@koenigrubloff.com. St. William PRESCHOOL NEWS There are 26 children in the preschool who are learning new things all the time. We completed several lessons in our Religion series which have strengthened the children s positive selfconcepts and increased their awareness of all their abilities God has given to them. Our lessons include prayers, songs, activities, and Scripture. We praise and thank God everyday for making each of us very special. Every week the children attend Music and P.E. classes. During Catholic Schools Week we shared our cultures with our classmates and learned a lot about the different countries. We were creative and made Valentine cards for the Veterans and the residents at Bethesda. The preschoolers showed their School Spirit by singing one of their favorite songs at the all school Pep Rally. We shook our pom poms as students were recognized for their endeavors as well as the winners of our annual Catholic Schools Week Raffle were announced. We would like to THANK the St. William parishioners for their continued support of our school. MAY GOD BLESS YOU! LENTEN REGULATIONS Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and on all the Fridays of Lent. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted. The Paschal fast and abstinence, are for Good Friday and Holy Saturday also.

Page Five Please mark your calendars for the fifth in a series of six Hot Topics discussions When: Tuesday, February 10 @ 7:00 PM Topic: Domestic Violence Dirty Little Secret! Presented by: Fr. Chuck Dahm, O.P. Hosting Parish: St. Cyprian Church (2601 Clinton, River Grove, IL 708-453-4800) About the Topic: Let s stop ignoring domestic violence. Many abused victims are in denial or minimize the abuse. This is a program to help battered spouses and their children step out of the shadows and learn more about how to get the assistance they need. For all those: Who are too afraid to speak; Who do not have voices of their own; and Who are our neighbors, and sisters. One in four men and women are abused physically, emotionally and mentally in our own parishes! We can learn to recognize the signs, to inform ourselves and gather resources. About the Speaker Charles W. Dahm, O.P. is a Dominican priest and the Archdiocesan Director of Domestic Violence Outreach, the Co-coordinator of Peace and Justice for Dominicans in North America and associate pastor of St. Pius V parish in Chicago. A small reception will follow discussion! St. William Church 40 Offerings of Lent As Lent approaches each year, our minds turn to, what will we do; what will we give up? Instead of only giving up, why not put something in something that will take hold. Make this Lent more meaningful for the whole family. Join our fellow parishioners in our 2015 Lenten Journey, 40 Offerings of Lent. from February 18 April 4. This is an opportunity for adults and children together to grow in their understanding of the three disciplines of Lent: prayer, almsgiving, and fasting. The 40 Offerings of Lent will be a parish-wide ministry to collect food or other offerings that will benefit parishioners as well neighboring food pantries and outreach programs. An offering a day whether spiritual or almsgiving will fulfill your 40 day Journey. Almsgiving donations will be accepted weekly. Donations can be placed in the boxes located around the altar and will be accepted before or after Masses. Coming in future bulletin: JOURNEY calendar.

On dał Ci wszystko, co posiadasz. Wraz z otrzymanymi talentami, powierzony został ci do spełnienia obowiązek. Każdy dolar powyżej wyznaczonej kwoty powróci do parafii.
