Fig 4 Measured vibration signal (top). Blue original signal. Red component related to periodic excitation of resonances and noise. Green component related. Rotational speed profile used for experiment (bottom) The normalization and use of DRS algorithm resulted in the separated time domain signal (Fig 4 top). Thanks to the proposed algorithm the dominant random components are excluded from the masked signal of interest. This can be clearly seen in Fig 5, where in the middle plots the shaft-related components are distinguished from the residuals. 10

Fig 5 Spectrograms of the original signal (top) extracted shaft-related GAD components (middle) and periodic excitations with noise (bottom). Left column contain spectrograms calculated in the whole spectral range while right column presents spectrograms zoom Fig 5 Spectrograms of the original signal (top) extracted shaft-related GAD components (middle) and periodic excitations with noise (bottom). Left column contain spectrograms calculated in the whole spectral range while right column presents spectrograms zoom illustrates, how the proposed algorithm caused the dominant random components to be excluded from the masked signal of interest. This can be clearly seen in the zoomed GAD component window in Fig 5 Spectrograms of the original signal (top) extracted shaft-related GAD components (middle) and periodic excitations with noise (bottom). Left column contain spectrograms calculated in the whole spectral range while right column presents spectrograms zoom, where the plot illustrates how the shaft-related components are distinguished from the residuals. The figure proves that the presented signal transformation enables separation of deterministic and random signals (DRS) for highly non-stationary signals, while 11

separation of this type was limited to stationary signals hitherto. More examples of the implementation of the separation of GAD and GADT components from raw vibration real data is illustrated in appendixes. 12

4 Conclusions The paper provide validation of the proposed approaches for identification of angular-deterministic components of the signal. The validation was performed using two commercially used industrial objects, namely printing machine and wind turbine. The machinery was described along with the recorded signals. The example of reallife signal with extremely varying speed and load proved that the proposed methodology provide sufficient information about particular characteristic signals of rolling element bearings. On the other hand, signal captured on printing machine showed potential utilization of the method. The measured signal was separated on deterministic and random components using blind separation. In the next step the time-frequency representation in form of spectrogram revealed useful information about ingredients of the signal. Acknowledgements.
