Expo Silesia Sosnowiec Fair and Conference Centre hosted SilesiaKOMUNIKACJA - a meeting between transport organizers, municipal public transport companies, private transport companies and manufacturers of public transport vehicles and technologies for the 10th time. The jubilee 10th edition of the event was organised on April 24-25th Exhibitors confirm that SilesiaKOMUNIKACJA Fair is a perfect place for meetings. The well established position of the event is influenced by: Its location Silesia conurbation is a strongly urbanised region with a large proportion of inhabitants using public transport, many transport companies and a large market of recipients of both vehicles and technology supporting public transport organisation; Cooperation between the fair team, transport organizers and leading transport companies from southern Poland; Events related to the fair's content including conferences and debates on low emission transport, electric vehicle network, gas vehicle network, alternative fuels and visions of public transport organisation; New releases presented at each edition of the event; Nearly visitors including local government representatives, senior management of municipal public transport companies and private transport companies, representatives of institutions and media related to the sector, managers of workshops; Proximity of the Czech Republic and Slovakia and good infrastructure, which guarantees additional visitors; Wide publicity in regional and specialist media. 3 10th JUBILEE EDITION of SilesiaKOMUKACJA Fair, April 24 25th SUMMARY More than 100 companies have presented their offer in the 10th jubilee edition organised jointly with TRASPORTEX Transport and Forwarding Fair. Traditionally, the first day of the Fair included a prestigious Conference for approximately 130 listeners, on "Low emission transport in the Upper Silesia-Zagłębie Metropolis - plans and example deployments of electric vehicle network and gas vehicle network" organised jointly with Tychy Municipal Public Transport Company and Gliwice Municipal Public Transport Company. The Conference was organised under the patronage of the Chamber of Urban Transport. 4 10th JUBILEE EDITION of SilesiaKOMUKACJA Fair, April 24 25th SUMMARY A Meeting of the Management Board and the Review Panel of the Municipal Communications Association for the Upper Silesia Industrial Region was organised in parallel with the Conference. A Meeting on "Organisation of Public Transport in the Upper Silesia and Zagłębie Metropolis" was held on the second day of the Fair as well as a Seminar on "Minimum wage and VAT in Europe - changes in fiscal and customs regulations on passenger transport", organised in cooperation with the Silesian Chamber of Tourism. There were nearly 2,000 visitors from the sector. The exhibition was visited by a broad range of specialists, managers, presidents, directors, representatives of trade institutions and universities. The Fair and the accompanying conferences and meetings made up a platform for exchange of views and experience between tourist transport sector specialists. The traditions of SilesiaKOMUNIKACJA Fair include the Expo Silesia Fair Medal competition and the method of exhibition. The 2018 winners are: AUTOMET GROUP Sp. z o.o. Sp.
