Get off at the bus stop Katowice Dworzec, then take a tram 15 from the stop Katowice Dworzec PKP and get off at the tram stop Zawodzie Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny. BY TRAIN: Take a train from Ligota train station to the main Katowice train station, then take a tram ( e.g. line 7, 13, 15, 20, 40, 43) from the stop Katowice Dworzec PKP and get off at the tram stop Zawodzie Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny. Or take a direct train from Ligota train station to Katowice Zawodzie train station- e.g. a train to Sosnowiec Główny.

Take a tram ( e.g. line 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 40, 43) from the tram stop Katowice Rynek/Teatr Śląski, get off at the tram stop Zawodzie Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny. from Katowice city center to the dorms Take a bus from the bus stop Katowice Dworzec located underground the train station (e.g. line 9, 12, 46, 48, 657) and get off at the bus stop Ligota Ośrodek Zdrowia, then go down Piotrowicka Street and turn left into Franciszkańska Street (look at the map above). from the dorm to Building N Take a bus to Katowice city center from the bus stop Ligota Ośrodek Zdrowia (e.g. line 9, 12, 46, 48, 657). Get off at the bus stop Katowice AWF, cross the street and turn into Kominka Street, go down Kominka Street till you get to Adamskiego Street, you will find Building N on your left. from the university campus to Building N Take a tram to Katowice city center (line 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 40, 43) and get off at the tram stop Katowice Dworzec PKP, then take a bus from the bus stop Katowice Dworzec located underground the train station (e.g. line 9, 12, 46, 48, 657), get off at Katowice AWF, turn into Kominka Street, go down Kominka Street till you get to Adamskiego Street, you will find Building N on your left. Where to buy a bus/tram ticket: a kiosk (a booth with tickets, newspapers, tobacco, etc.) a ticket vending machine at the bus stop on the bus from a bus driver (not very common in Poland and tickets are more expensive) ŚKUP card/ Silesian Card of Public Services (http://www.kzkgop.com.pl/?lang=en) A one-zone single ticket costs 3,20 PLN (normal) or 1,60 PLN (with a valid student card). Remember to validate your ticket when entering the bus or tram. City by bike: You can get around Katowice by bike! There are 52 self-service stations around the Silesia operated by Nextbike. Str. 06 Dormitory Student Dormitory ul. Franciszkańska 8-10 40-708 Katowice, Poland e-mail: domstudenta@ue.katowice.pl tel. +48 32 252 5041 Facilities: The dormitory has a TV room, study room, playing room (billiard, table football, table tennis), self-service paid laundry and drying room. There are two kitchens and two toilets on each floor. Kitchen facilities include: a four-stove electric cooker with an oven, a microwave, a sink and a table with chairs. At the reception you can rent an iron and an ironing board. Clean bedsheet and covers are provided once a month (the exact date is given every month on the notice board). In the room you can find: curtains, fridge, bed linen with covers, chair, table, bedside table, wardrobe, shelf, bed and bedcover. Things you should take to the dorms: cups, cutlery, plates, kitchen utensils, pots, towels, hairdryer. Check-in: Winter semester and whole year students can check-in from 22 September 2018 between 7.30 and 15.30. If you are not able to check-in at this time you can write to the dormitory and arrange your check-in time. In order to check-in you will need your ID or passport, two up-to-date photos and the deposit payment receipt. You will receive an agreement with the dormitory with your individual bank account. Each month you will need to transfer the rent to this account. You are not alone at the dorm. Be respectful of your neighbors in the community. Some rules: you should be quiet after 11p.m. student dormitory is a completely non-smoking area you should not have parties in the dormitory, go out to a club or a pub you should always leave the key at the reception guests can visit you only with ID or student ID and the visits have to end till 11p.m.
