AKT I (Scena przedstawia salon, w którym Kopciuszek siedzi przy piecu i rozmyśla) : Once upon a time there was a very nice old man. He was a widower because his wife died a long time ago. He didn t want to marry once again as he loved his wife so much that he couldn t forget her. However, he wasn t alone because he had a beautiful daughter. (Ojciec Kopciuszka wchodzi do pokoju, siada na fotelu i rozpoczyna rozmowę) OJCIEC: How are you my sweetheart? Are you OK today? KOPCIUSZEK: I m fine, daddy. And you? You must be sad. OJCIEC: I m not sad. I just miss your mum very much. KOPCIUSZEK: I miss my mum, too. But I love you daddy very much. You re my best friend. OJCIEC: I love you too, my little angel. I m happy that I have you. You are the apple of my eye. KOPCIUSZEK: I m so happy, daddy. OJCIEC: And I m very happy, sweetie. AKT II : After a few years Cinderella s father marries Cruella who moves into their house with her two daughters. They are happy together. But one day Cinderella s father dies. Now Cinderella is alone. Cinderella s stepmother makes her work. Cinderella is a good girl. She works very hard: she cleans the whole house, cooks dinner and
washes the dishes. Cinderella s mother and her two ugly stepsisters never say thank you. They are very mean. SIOSTRA I Cinderella, I m hungry! Make me a chocolate cake! (Kopciuszek biega po całym domu jak oszalały, wykonując wszystkie, najbardziej głupie polecenia macochy i jej sióstr) The girl works all the time and takes care of the house. She doesn t have time to eat or drink. She doesn t have time to wash her clothes or to have a shower. Edwina and Gertrude and their mother wear beautiful clothes, but they are still ugly! Cinderella wears old ugly clothes but she is still beautiful. Edwina, Gertrude and their mother are very jealous of Cinderella. AKT III But one day a Royal Herald arrives at Cinderella s house. (Cinderella robi się zmęczona i zaczyna ziewać) I m so tired. I will go to sleep. (Cinderella kładzie sie i zasypia. W tej chwili zjawia się pięknie ubrana kobieta - wróżka) WRÓŻKA Cinderella, Cinderella, don t cry! Cinderella, Cinderella, don t cry, I will help you. (Cinderella budzi się i rozgląda na boki) Who are you? Where are you? WRÓŻKA I am your fairy godmother! I can help you. Don t cry. Cinderella, you can go to the party. I have a beautiful dress for you, and a coach with the horses. Where are they?
WRÓŻKA Cinderella, close your eyes and wait. (Wróżka zaczyna machać magiczną różdżką i wypowiada magiczne zaklęcie) Jump Turn around Close your eyes One, two, three Surprise, surprise Tripilee! Yes, of course your Majesty! (zaczynają tańczyć) You are so pretty! Thank you, Prince! And you are a great dancer. What s your name? (Nagle słychać dźwięk: BONG BONG!!!) Oh no! It s midnight! I have to go! Wait, please! Wait! It is midnight. Cinderella runs out of the castle. She runs so fast that she loses her shoe. And now again, the orange coach is a pumpkin, the grey horses are mice. Cinderella wears her ugly, old, dirty clothes. (podnosi bucik i mówi sam do siebie) Who is she? What is her name? I have her shoe. I love her and I must find her. (Wchodzi król) Father, what shall I do? KRÓL Do you love her? Yes, I love her so much! I want to marry her! KRÓL So you must find her. Go from house to house to find your future wife.

He cannot find her. No one knows who she is or where she is from. The prince does not know Cinderella s name! He has her shoe, but that is all he has. The prince visits all the houses in his kingdom.
