He is not a judgmental and aloof king reigning in heaven but a loving and compassionate God who is intimately involved with His children and all His creation. God as Father reveals the immensity of God's presence as seen in the wonder of creation: the stars and seas, the mountains and hills, and all the glory that surrounds us. Jesus reveals the compassionate and gentle face of God, a God of Mercy who desires nothing more than for His children to seek and come to Him. God the Holy Spirit reminds us that God is the very life force of our existence, without Whom we would have no breath and the universe would have no life. Words to Inspire the Faithful Among all things that are lovable, there is one that is more lovable than the rest, and that most lovable of all things is LIFE. ~St. Anthony A very warm welcome is extended to all who have come to St. Stanislaus Church to worship this weekend. We are grateful to our parishioners and we welcome our guests who visit us this weekend. Gospel Meditation Encourage Deeper Understanding of Scripture The Most Holy Trinity "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son." We are used to this profound idea, so used to it that we often glaze over the incredible reality: God the Father has a Son who became man and dwelt among us! Too often we blithely make the sign of the cross in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, without realizing what a radical theology we are announcing. Only Christianity proclaims a triune God. Only Christianity professes that we have one God in Three Divine Persons. Only Christianity declares that the very nature of God is to be relational and literally "personal." Why does this matter? Because we are made in God's image, as the opening chapters of Genesis tell us. We, therefore, are made in the image of this Trinitarian God who IS love. We are built to be like this God! Just as God the Father loves God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, we too are called to love one another. In fact, we are not fulfilling our nature and design when we don't. And just as God loved the world (that is, us!) so too we are called to love Him in return. We don't have to embrace this image in which we were made, of course. God gave us freedom so that our love can be real, but this means our choices really matter. We can decide not to reflect God's interpersonal love in the world. We can opt not to return the love that God pours out to each of us. But this can only lead to disappointment in the end. After all, God sent His Son so that "everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have Eternal Life." Ultimately, this means spending eternity in the Trinitarian embrace of love. So why not start now? One Decade a Day-Can Keep War Away and Have Peace Stay! Become a Prayer Warrior! Sign up to be part of the Living Rosary Prayer Ministry. As we celebrate the 100 th Anniversary of our Lady of Fatima s apparitions to the 3 children, by obeying her request to pray the rosary daily is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer her. Our world continues to be in DESPERATE need of prayer. While the leaders of nations assert their power with weapons and warfare, we know through the message from our Heavenly Mother and faith, that we hold the ultimate weapon to attain world peace, the ROSARY. Promise to pray privately at home ONE DECADE of the rosary everyday for world peace and the Pope s monthly intention. You and the other members of the Living Rosary will pray an assigned Mystery which then completes a whole rosary. You will receive a new Mystery and intention every month. For more information contact Sonja Stenclik at the rectory 467-3068 or email her at sonja.stenclik@dor.org. Objawił nam to Jezus Chrystus. Każdego roku w procesji z Najświętszym Sakramentem do czterech ołtarzy wyznajemy wiarę w Bóstwo Jezusa Chrystusa. Feast of Corpus Christi Next Sunday! We will celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi next Sunday, June 18th with two Masses. After the 11:00 a.m. Mass we will have a solemn procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the four altars set up on the grounds of the church. We are asking Polish Choir, Polish School and Parish Societies to prepare the altars for the Feast of Corpus Christi. We would like to invite Parishioners, Guests and First Holy Communion Children to participate in this day as we honor the Blessed Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Be a Secret Surprise Birthday Blessing! Each week many of you faithfully bring boxes, cans and bags of healthy food for those in poverty. They are very grateful that you help to fill their tables. But even with your very generous donations they continue to struggle to meet day to day basic needs and therefore are not able to afford the extravagance of a birthday cake for their child s birthday. Will you be a birthday blessing and surprise a child by providing the fixings for a Happy Birthday? Take a gift bag and fill it with the items on the list. Return it to the Food Donation Box. Sr. Julia will deliver your secret surprise. St. Stanislaus Parish Picnic Father Roman invites all to spend a wonderful afternoon in a family atmosphere! Our annual parish picnic will take place on Sunday, June 25 h from Noon till 4:00 p.m. on the parish grounds.
