1925-2010 St. Bruno Church Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time July 4, 2010 God bless America, Land that I love, Stand beside her and guide her LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST Today s Gospel tells the story of the sending out of the seventy-two, some of the first disciples in the burgeoning church. They must have been full of idealism and excitement as they went from town to town healing the sick and expelling demons. Today, the Fourth of July, we remember those who founded our country and can also imagine their excitement and idealism as they worked in this newly established country. Our Church, now over two thousand years old, is still in need of men filled with idealism and excitement who are willing to answer the call to the ordained priesthood. Today is a day to pray for vocations to the priesthood; as the Lord tells his disciples, Ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest ( L uke 10:2 ). Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co. Thru the night with a light from above; From the mountains, to the prairies, To the oceans white with foam, God bless America, My home, sweet home. God bless America, My home, sweet home.

From our Pastor Fr. Tony Whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, «Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off against you; nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.» I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that town." The love of God must not make us forget his justice and his rigor! Let us always remember that the mercy of God cannot to be separated from his justice. God is infinitely good, but he is also infinitely just. While he rewards good, he also punishes evil. The grace of God calls us, it invites us to follow Jesus in his mission of love throughout the entire world! The grace of God is powerful, it is the most powerful proof of the love of God for us, but we have to fear that this same grace that is offered to us today will never again be given to us in order to call us to follow Christ. We must fear that the grace that we allow to pass by today may never be offered to us again. The fire of the love of God saves and is full of mercy, but the fire of the divine justice is destructive like that which fell upon Sodom! Fr. Tony Czy Jezus naprawdę chciał podważyć autorytet rodziców i skłócić rodziny? Wiara porządkuje ludzkie życie, wprowadza ład i harmonię, właściwą hierarchię wartości. Padre Antonio

Reflections from Fr. Emil. THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE TO THE FATHER The Eucharist, the sacrament of our salvation accomplished by Christ on the cross, is also a sacrifice of praise in thanksgiving for the work of creation. In the Eucharistic sacrifice the whole creation loved by God is presented to the Father through the death and the Resurrection of Christ. Through Christ the Church can offer the sacrifice of praise in thanksgiving for all that God has made good, beautiful, and just in creation and in humanity. The Eucharist is a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Father, a blessing by which the Church expresses her gratitude to God for all his benefits, for all that he has accomplished through creation, redemption, and sanctification. Eucharist means first of all thanksgiving. The Eucharist is also the sacrifice of praise by which the Church sings the glory of God in the name of all creation. This sacrifice of praise is possible only through Christ; he unites the faithful to his person, to his praise, and to his intercession, so that the sacrifice of praise to the Father is offered through Christ and with him, to be accepted in him. Fr. Padre Emilio
