Thoughts from our Pastor. This Sunday Jesus speaks about vigilance: Be prepared. The time of reckoning will come when you least expect it. Every moment our salvation - our eternal destiny - hangs in the balance. Our enemy - the devil - knows this very well. He wants to lull us into a sense of false security. Every day we see people die, some very suddenly - in accidents or by a stroke or heart attack. It happens to the young as well as the old. Yet we somehow think it will not happen to you or me. The tempter keeps saying to us, "Don't worry. You won't die. There is no hurry Jesus says just the opposite in today's Gospel. Be prepared. Be vigilant. Your death, your hour of judgment will come like a thief in the night Jesus return is near. This could be your last day or mine Fr. Można się z tym spotkać nawet w gronie najbliższych mąż wobec żony, żona wobec męża, dzieci wobec rodziców. Dlaczego tak się dzieje? Odpowiedź jest prosta. Otrzymali jedynie to, co się im należy. Do tego, co zawarte w obowiązku, inni mają prawo. Tymczasem oni czekają na coś więcej; na uśmiech, dobre słowo, życzliwy gest. W obowiązkach dajemy ludziom swoje siły, zdrowie, ręce a oni czekają na nasze serce. Dokładne wykonanie obowiązków to jeszcze nie wszystko. Dopiero uśmiech serca opromienia je ciepłem i stwarza atmosferę zaufania. Czasami tak niewiele trzeba, by szare, ciężkie życie naszych codziennych obowiązków rozświetlił jasny promyk. Rzecz jasna, dokładne wypełnienie obowiązków stanowi fundament więzi społecznej, i na nic się nie przyda piękny uśmiech i potok ciepłych słów, gdy ktoś nie spełnia tego, co do niego należy. Ale ograniczenie swych kontaktów z ludźmi wyłącznie do dokładnego wypełniania obowiązków to jeszcze nie wszystko. Potrzebny jest ten mały gest ponadobowiązkowy. Dopiero on nadaje życiu piękno. Odkryjemy wówczas ważny klucz do tajemnicy kontaktów międzyludzkich Ks. Antoni Este domingo Jesus habla de vigilancia. Esten en vela. El tiempo de juicio llegara cuando menos lo esperan. En todo momento nuestra salvacion - nuestro destino eterno - esta en la balanza. Nuestro enemigo - el diablo - lo sabe bien. Quiere darnos un sentido falso de seguridad.
