In the administrative boundaries of the city, within the area of 495 square kilometers, lives 1 630 000 people, and in the whole Warsaw agglomeration, almost 2 and a half millions. The most densely populated area is Warsaw downtown, with over 10 thousands inhabitants per square kilometer, as many as in the largest agglomerations of the world. 6
