Brzeźnicka 60a Telefon:(034) 325-73-34 w 18 E-mail:s.hlawiczka@ietu.katowice.pl Professor Stanisław Hlawiczka received M.Sc. in chemistry from the Technical University in Gliwice, Ph.D. in natural sciences from Medical University-Faculty of Pharmacy and D.Sc in the field of technical sciences - environmental engineering from Technical University in Wroclaw. Since 2010 he is a full professor of technical sciences. Areas of interest include problems of air quality protection and focused on air quality monitoring, smog alert systems, atmospheric chemistry, environmental impact assessment of air pollution sources as well as methods of odour nuisance assessment, regional and national inventory of air pollutants emission. Since 1995 has been authorized by the Polish Ministry of Environment in production of data on heavy metals national emission inventory for the needs of the Protocol on Heavy Metals within the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution. Active in the investigation of long-term changes of air quality and its relation with changes of air pollutants emission to the atmosphere. This includes changes of particulate matter emission and their effect on the acidity of rainwater investigating balance of emission and imission changes of acidic and alkaline pollutants in the air. Present position: Professor in Technical University in Czestochowa - the Energy Engineering Dept. and in the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas in Katowice. Dr inż. Michał Wichliński Wydział Inżynierii Środowiska i Biotechnologii PCz Katedra Inżynierii Energii ul. Brzeźnicka 60a In his scientific work dr Michał Wichliński investigates: analysis of the contents of mercury in coals, biomass and other solid fuels, gases and liquids, emissions of mercury during the combustion of solid fuels, removal of mercury from solid fuels especially from coals by thermal treatment, limestone sorbent reactivity studies, issues associated with the combustion of coal and biomass in a circulating fluidized bed. He has participated in numerous researches for industry. 4
Zarządzanie produkcją i usługami (Production management and services) Dr hab. inż. Robert Ulewicz, prof. P.Cz. ulewicz@zim.pcz.pl Institute of Production Engineering Facuty of Management Czestochowa University of Technology Scientific interests of Professor Robert Ulewicz focus on production engineering, including quality of construction materials, quality systems and improvement of production systems. Prof. Robert Ulewicz is the internal auditor of ISO 9001, develop a ISO and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents. He deals with problems of materials fatigue In the area of materials engineering. He is vice president of the quality and production managers association and a member of the SIMP and SPWIR. He cooperates with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zilina, where he has lectured in the framework of the Erasmus program. Currently, Prof. Ulewicz teaches manufacturing systems, quality systems, production management and packaging technology subjects. Dr inż. Logistyka w przedsiębiorstwie (Logistics in Enterprise) Dr Marta Starostka-Patyk Instytut Logistyki i Zarządzania Międzynarodowego Wydział Zarządzania Dr Marta Starostka-Patyk wrote her M.Sc. thesis at KU Leuven/Belgium, and in 2010 received the Ph.D. degree from Czestochowa University of Technology with Polish and Slovakian promoters. Her areas of interest include logistics and supply chain management, with reverse logistics and logistics management of waste (industrial) flows as the main domains. Presently she is working at Faculty of Management, Institute of Logistics and International Management. She was visiting researcher at University of Lorraine/France and visiting lecturer at University of Targoviste/Romania. Currently she is coordinator of Polish team in TEMPUS project leading by University of Valenciennes/France about logistics excellence in Morocco (OFLPEL), and coordinator of NCN SONATA project about reverse logistics and defective products management. Also, she is and was participating in many other international projects and conferences. She published more than 70 articles, mainly in English, 1 book in Polish and 2 books in English. Artur Tyliszczak Wydział Inżynierii Mechanicznej i Informatyki PCz Instytut Maszyn Cieplnych, ul. Armii Krajowej 19C tel. 34 3250 542 e-mail: atyl@imc.pcz.czest.pl Dr Artur Tyliszczak is a specialist in Computational Fluid Dynamics. His research concern high order numerical schemes, flow control, two phase flows and combustion of gaseous and liquid fuels. He did his PhD in 2002 at von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium. From that time he participated in various scientific projects funded by Ministry of Science and European Commission. Dr. Tyliszczak was involved in many international exchange programs, among others he spent some time at Cambridge University (UK) as a Marie-Curie Experienced Researcher, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) and Twente University (Holland) as visiting researcher. Dr. A. Tyliszczak teaches fluid mechanics and introductory and advanced courses on numerical simulations and algorithms. Dr. A. Tyliszczak is a head of the CFD division at the Institute of Thermal Machinery Czestochowa Univeristy of Technology. 6

His fields of expertise are: modelling and simulation of machine dynamics problems and investigation of dynamic behaviour of discrete-continuous mechanical systems representing the machines and their elements. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications, in a large number of various national and international journals, and eight research monographs and textbook. He has promoted two PhD students. Professor s didactic activities cover lectures, classes, workshops, seminars and laboratory classes on theory of vibrations, dynamics of mechanical systems and computer aided design. He is the author of textbooks, laboratory instructions and concepts of many laboratory and didactic stands for graduate and postgraduate students at various stages of higher education. Other activities include being a supervisor of graduate and postgraduate students. For his scientific and didactic activities he has been awarded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (three collective prizes) and by Rector of CUT (seven individual and seven collective prizes). Professor is a member of GAMM (International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics) and PTMTS (Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics). Dr inż. He is the author and co-author of several publications from this field in national and international journals as well as two chapters of monograph. His teaching activity includes engineering drawing, geometrical and structural modelling, aiding systems of machine design and design of CAE applications. 7
