Dear Sir/Madam, we have great pleasure and satisfaction to present you with the post-conference materials, containing digitized presentations which were given during the 3 rd Forum Science and Technology Days -East in Bialowieza (), April 20-22, 2010. The Forum Science and Technology Days -East aimed at expanding the international co-operation between European B+R teams and enterprises focusing on areas of: ICT, Energy, Environment, Health, New Materials and Processes (NMP) and Transregional Co-operation with Eastern Europe partners, particularly from Ukraine and Belarus and other countries - within Eastern Partnership programme. In participants opinions, Forum has given good opportunities for the undertaking of special business ventures based on the transfer of new technologies and corporate solutions and to prepare common ideas concerning projects being presently in progress (including 7.PR, EUREKA, Regional and Cross Border Cooperation Programmes). The Forum hosted: 1. Scientific and technological sessions on selected issues regarding co-operational possibilities in European programs being presently in progress, concerning ICT, Energy, Environment, Health, NMP and Transregional Co-operation issues. 2. Partnering Event aimed at genuine cooperation on selected issues and technology transfer (organised in collaboration with the Polish, Ukrainian and Lithuanian Offices of EUREKA Initiative). Partnering Event consisted of workshops, poster sessions and individual meetings, presenting possibilities of commercialisation of the solutions, as well as possibilities of co-operation on new projects. 3. Contest: particularly valuable presentations presented during poster sessions and workshops, were given special awards and prizes. 4. Exhibition where offers of cooperation of enterprises, R&D sector, business environment institutions and regions were presented. - 6 -
More than 120 people participated in the conference; they represented universities, institutions of scientific research, companies, business environment institutions from, the Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania. Over 50 presentations and lecture were given during the plenary sessions and workshops and a total of 50 proposals of common projects were drafted many of which stand a good chance of realization. More than 50 posters were presented during the poster sessions. As part of the Partnering Event, tens of individual meetings took place, during which the participants who were interested in the realization of the detailed projects which had been presented in the project workshops, discussed the terms of potential future cooperation in commercialization of the proposed technological solutions or in assuming common projects. Few interesting projects, presented during the Forum by Polish and Lithuanian partners, will be probably co-financed by EUREKA funds. On behalf of the organizers, we would like to thank all who contributed to the undeniable success of the third Forum, particularly the patronage institutions of the conference and the members of the Programme Committee as well as the partners of Innovative Eastern Association. I am convinced that this publication will contribute to the enlargement of international cooperation of R&D teams and companies with partners from Eastern Europe countries. Wacław J. Szanowni Państwo, Z duŝą przyjemnością i satysfakcją przedstawiamy Państwu materiały pokonferencyjne, zawierające w formie elektronicznej prezentacje, przedstawione podczas III Forum Dni Nauki i Technologii Polska-Wschód, które odbyło się w BiałowieŜy 20-22.04.2010 r. Celem III Forum Dni Nauki i Technologii Polska-Wschód było rozszerzenie międzynarodowej współpracy europejskich zespołów sfery B+R oraz przedsiębiorstw działających w szczególności w obszarze zdrowia (Health), technologii informacyjnokomunikacyjnych (ICT), energii (Energy), środowiska (Environment), nowych materiałów i procesów (NMP) oraz współpracy regionalnej (Transregional Co-operation) z partnerami z krajów Europy Wschodniej, w szczególności z Białorusi i Ukrainy, a takŝe innymi krajami w ramach Programu Partnerstwa Wschodniego. Zdaniem uczestników, Forum było doskonałą okazją do podjęcia konkretnych przedsięwzięć gospodarczych, bazujących na transferze nowych technologii i rozwiązań do przedsiębiorstw, a takŝe przygotowania wspólnych projektów m.in. w ramach obecnie realizowanych programów współpracy (w tym 7.PR, EUREKA, Programy Współpracy Regionalnej i Transgranicznej). W ramach Forum zorganizowano: 1. Sesje naukowo-techniczne, prezentujące wybrane zagadnienia dot. moŝliwości współpracy w obecnie realizowanych programach współpracy europejskiej, obejmujących zagadnienia z obszaru zdrowia (Health), technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych (ICT), energii (Energy), środowiska (Environment), nowych materiałów i procesów (NMP) oraz współpracy regionalnej (Transregional Co-operation). 2. Spotkania w ramach Partnering Event, celem których było podjęcie konkretnej współpracy w wybranych tematach i transfer technologii (organizacja we współpracy z Biurami Inicjatywy EUREKA z Polski, Ukrainy i Litwy). W skład Partnering Event weszły warsztaty, sesja plakatowa i spotkania indywidualne, prezentujące oferty moŝliwości komercjalizacji prezentowanych rozwiązań, a takŝe współpracy w nowych projektach. 3. Konkurs, w ramach którego szczególnie cenne prezentacje, przedstawione podczas sesji posterowych i workshopów, otrzymały specjalne nagrody i wyróŝnienia. 4. Prezentację wystawienniczą, podczas której zaprezentowane zostały oferty współpracy przedsiębiorstw, B+R, instytucji otoczenia biznesu i regionów - 8 -
W FORUM wzięło udział ponad 120 osób, reprezentujących wyŝsze uczelnie, jednostki naukowo-badawcze, przedsiębiorstwa i instytucje otoczenia biznesu z Polski, Ukrainy, Białorusi i Litwy. Podczas sesji plenarnych i warsztatów przedstawiono ponad 50 prezentacji i referatów oraz 50 propozycji wspólnych projektów, z których wiele ma szanse na realizację. Podczas sesji plakatowych zaprezentowano ponad 50 multimedialnych plakatów. W ramach Partnering Event miało miejsce kilkadziesiąt spotkań indywidualnych, podczas których uczestnicy, zainteresowani realizacją konkretnych, prezentowanych podczas warsztatów projektów, omawiali moŝliwości współpracy w komercjalizacji proponowanych rozwiązań technologicznych lub podjęcia wspólnych projektów. Forum zaowocowało równieŝ uzgodnieniami dotyczącymi kilku projektów EUREKI (z udziałem partnerów polskich i litewskich). W imieniu organizatorów dziękuję wszystkim, którzy przyczynili się do bezspornego sukcesu III Forum, w szczególności instytucjom patronującym konferencji oraz członkom Komitetu Programowego i partnerom Stowarzyszenia Innowacyjna Polska Wschodnia.
