Particles-Astrophysics-Cosmology Theory
Theory needs to explain the observed Universe with structure formation initiated by adiabatic, nearly scale invariant primordial fluctuations This demands a concerted effort of cosmologists and particle physicists in particular, the BSM theories must satisfactorily explain inflation, baryogenesis, the nature of dark matter and dark energy
Dates July 3rd, 2006 - decision to organize a network to coordinate theoretical research in particle cosmology February 2007 - association of institutes and departments performing research in particle cosmology October 17th, 2007 - formal agreement signed to form a research network for theoretical investigations in the domain of Particles, Astrophysics and Cosmology - C-A-K
