Preface It is a great pleasure to deliver to our readers an English-language edition of selected articles from a serial publication Folia Philosophica, vols. 28 and 29. The periodical is a thematically extensive and interdisciplinary study emphasizing the topicality of philosophy, that is addressed not only to researchers specializing in the field of philosophy, but also to representatives of various disciplines of humanities and social studies, as well as to all readers interested in epistemology, anthropology, aesthetics and religion. The present edition is an outcome of the efforts undertaken as a part of a project Popularization of Polish journals abroad (the decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education No. 53/IxP/dem/2012, dated September 5, 2012). The English-language edition, in accordance with a formula applied by Folia Philosophica, presents a wide scope of philosophical issues, from studies concerning history of philosophy, through ontological and epistemological questions, to problems concerning ethics, anthropology and aesthetics. Collected articles pertain to pivotal problems of philosophy and their Authors aim is to join discussions which are philosophical par excellence as well as multidisciplinary. Presented volumes (28 and 29) are a result of shared editorial work by Prof. UŚ dr hab. Piotr Łaciak and dr Agnieszka Wesołowska. The Editors (Translated by Krystian Wojcieszuk)
