UNIVERSITY COOPERATION e wzorca tekstu Warsaw University of Technology, Military University of Technology and Lodz University of Technology signed an agreement on cooperation to consolidate teaching, research and innovation potential of the three universities. Airbus Helicopters, a leading manufacturer of helicopters, signed a cooperation agreement with three Polish universities of technology: Lodz University of Technology, Gdansk University of Technology and Kazimierz Pulaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom. The universities will work on improving systems and components for helicopters manufactured by the company.

FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC, COMPUTER AND CONTROL ENGINEERING e wzorca tekstu The Faculty carries out research in the broad spectrum of areas strictly related to crucial branches of economy, including power system safety improvement, applications of microelectronics and computer engineering in medicine (among them: medical imaging and technologies supporting people with disabilities), teleinformatics, innovative mechatronic, control and robotic systems, as well as modern transportation vehicles and infrastructure.
FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY e wzorca tekstu Research activities at this Faculty are focused on the three main areas of modern chemistry: natural and synthetic chemical compounds that exhibit therapeutic and/or diagnostic potential design, synthesis, SAR analysis and authentication, chemistry in environmental protection physicochemical properties of catalyst-support, utilization of waste waters and fumes (exhaust gases) including those contaminated with radionuclides, and remediation, materials engineering biodegradable polymers, modern wound dressings, polymeric and hybrid materials for optoelectronics.
FACULTY OF MATERIAL TECHNOLOGIES AND TEXTILE DESIGN e wzorca tekstu Research conducted at this Faculty is centered around issues concerning ecological and innovative textiles. One robust area of scientific investigation here is the use of a number of typical fibrous products in the production of new polymer and textile composites. Designing polymer syntheses, new technologies of producing and designing fibrous products from biopolymers, and functionalization of textiles through nanotechnology, textronics and printing electronic systems on a wide range of textile substrates all take an important place in the scientific profile of the Faculty.
e wzorca tekstu FACULTY OF BIOTECHNOLOGY AND FOOD SCIENCES The Faculty carries out basic and applied research in many areas connected with industrial, environmental and food biotechnology. Basic studies are focused on proteomics, metabolomics and microorganism screening as tools for search of enzymes and cells useful in biocatalysis and biotransformation processes. Applied studies are focused on the following topics: biomass utilization and transformation, search of microbial enzymes of potential applicability in industrial biotechnology, synthesis and application of biomaterials, fermentation technology and microbiology, pro- and prebiotics, physicochemical analysis and application of plant natural products, bioremediation of biotopes polluted by petroleum, biogas production and purification.
FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING e wzorca tekstu Studies at this Faculty have a direct bearing on improving the stability of buildings, counteracting aggressive environmental influences, and using energy-saving materials and construction technologies. They also support such business activities as restoration of degraded areas, protection of national heritage, shaping buildings and transport, hydrotechnical and technical infrastructure, reducing emissions of anthropogenic pollution, using innovative technology of sewage and waste disposal, as well as drainage methods in urban areas and modernization of water supply and sewage infrastructure.
FACULTY OF TECHNICAL PHYSICS, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS e wzorca tekstu Research in the field of computer science and mathematical finance and insurance conducted at this Faculty responds to recent social needs. Significant level of innovation is demonstrated by research in the field of computer science and computer networks (intelligent calculations, technical and medical diagnostics, computer systems security, next-generation networks). Research in the field of physics also shows high degree of innovation (modification of properties of diamond thin films relevant to the design of sensors used for measuring bio-environment, use of different hardeners in polymer networks, modelling of optical-electrical-thermal phenomena in semiconductor laser).

The research focuses on the issues of production management, human resources management, methods of strategic planning, change implementation, functioning of network companies, marketing, logistics, quality management, ergonomics and organizational safety, competitiveness of companies on international markets as well as issues of biomedical engineering.
FACULTY OF PROCESS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING e wzorca tekstu In recent years, molecular engineering has been the priority research field of the Faculty. A particularly important achievement in this regard is the development of a new technology for producing, by means of cold plasma, the nanostructure resembling totally waterrepellent (superhydrophobic) surface structure of the lotus leaf.
e wzorca tekstu INSTITUTE OF PAPERMAKING AND PRINTING Interdisciplinary character of the Institute, the only institution of this kind in Poland (unique specializations: pulp and paper technology, printing, paper converting and packaging, machines for paper, printing and converting industries) makes it possible to carry out research projects from the initial idea, through laboratory tests, equipment design to testing of a prototype for implementation into the industry.
e wzorca tekstu INTERNATIONAL FACULTY OF ENGINEERING The main objective of the Faculty is to educate professional engineers and managers, fluent in foreign languages, able to apply their knowledge in science, engineering, technology and business. At present, there are over 1000 students at the Faculty. The students have the opportunity to obtain double diplomas, one from TUL and the other from a partner university in France, Holland, Great Britain, Denmark and other European countries. TUL is the leader of student exchange.
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER e wzorca tekstu over 50 laboratories equipped by industry, 450 R & D projects carried out in collaboration with 230 business partners. Technology Transfer Centre, Ltd. is the first technology transfer company in Poland operating within the University. Established in August 2009. The major objective of the Interdisciplinary School of Innovation (ISI) is to engage scientific community in the process of creating and developing new enterprises based on innovative ideas. The Interdisciplinary School of Innovation is one of the latest initiatives undertaken by the University to support, encourage and promote academic entrepreneurship among researchers, doctoral candidates and students.
CLUSTERS e wzorca tekstu TUL is a member of CLIB 2021 - Cluster of Industrial Biotechnology, which brings together more than 90 organizations (industrial companies, business environment institutions and research institutions) working in the area of industrial biotechnology. The aims of CLIB2021 are the promotion of industrial biotechnology in science and application of industrial biotechnology in commercial/industrial businesses.

e wzorca tekstu LODZ SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL PARK Lodz University of Technology is one of the organizers of the Lodz Scientific and Technological Park (Technopark Lodz) and strongly supports the Regional Technology and Industry Park in Belchatow (BKPPT) contributing know-how in the form of innovative technologies. At the BioNanoPark building on the premises of the Technopark, the construction of the Analyzer of Real Complex Systems - a unique digital simulator of chemical processes, is coming to completion. Lodz University of Technology is the originator of the concept of the machine design and operation.
RESEARCH AND SCIENCE e wzorca tekstu In 2016, Lodz University of Technology entered into an agreement with CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research famous for its gigantic particle accelerator the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The framework agreement lays the groundwork for the development of cooperation in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, automatic control, mechanical engineering, physics and research engineering in the fields of molecular and nuclear physics.
TUL s ACTIVITIES FOR THE REGION AND THE COUNTRY e wzorca tekstu Due to the efforts undertaken by the University s European Center for Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, the areas of cooperation between the University and the biggest Polish producer of electric power, PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A., have been mapped. One such area is reduction of mercury emissions. The National Center for Research and Development awarded to the consortium made up of the two institutions 22 million zloty for the first joint research project titled Development and implementation of technology for reduction of mercury emissions from fossil-fuel burning processes whose goal is to limit mercury emissions from combustion flue emitted by the Bełchatów Power Plant.

It is a passive optical network that uses the latest technology of optical fiber cable systems.
