Uchwała Senatu PG nr 66/2017/XXIV z 19 kwietnia 2017 r. Resolution of the Senate of GUT No 66/2017/XXIV of 19 April 2017 w sprawie: zmiany Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich na Politechnice Gdańskiej on: the changes in the Regulations for doctoral studies at Gdańsk University of Technology. Senat Politechniki Gdańskiej, działając na podstawie art. 196 ust. 6 i art. 161 ust. 1 Ustawy z dnia 27 lipca 2005 r. Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym (tekst jednolity Dz. U. z 2016 r. poz. 1842, z późn. zm.) uchwala: Pursuant to the Act of 27 July 2005, the Law on Higher Education, article 196 paragraph 6 and article 161 paragraph 1 (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2016, item 1842 with subsequent amendments), the Senate of Gdańsk University of Technology hereby stipulates: 1. Do Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich na Politechnice Gdańskiej, przyjętego uchwałą Senatu PG nr 362/2016/XXIII w dniu 20 kwietnia 2016 r., wprowadza się następujące zmiany: 1. The Regulations for Ph.D. studies at Gdańsk University of Technology, adopted by the Senate's resolution No. 362/2016 / XXIII on 20 April 2016, are hereby amended as follows: 1. Zmianie ulega 2 ust. 1, wskazujący podstawy prawne Regulaminu, który otrzymuje brzmienie: 1. Podstawy prawne Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich stanowią: 1) ustawa z dnia 27 lipca 2005 r. Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym (tekst jednolity Dz. U. z 2016 r. poz. 1842 ze zm.), zwana dalej ustawą, 2) ustawa z dnia 14 marca 2003 r. o stopniach naukowych i tytule naukowym oraz o stopniach i tytule w zakresie sztuki (tekst jednolity Dz. U. z 2017 r., poz. 256), 4) rozporządzenie Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego z dnia 13 kwietnia 2016 r. w sprawie studiów doktoranckich i stypendiów doktoranckich (Dz. 5) rozporządzenie Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego z 12 października 2006 r. w sprawie podejmowania i odbywania przez cudzoziemców studiów i szkoleń oraz ich uczestnictwa w badaniach naukowych i pracach rozwojowych (tekst jednolity Dz. U. z 2016 r. poz. 1501), 6) Statut Politechniki Gdańskiej. 5) Ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 12 October 2006, on the undertaking and pursuing studies and training by foreigners and on their participation in scientific research and development (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2016, item 1501); 6) The Statute of Gdańsk University of Technology. " 2. W 4 po ustępie 12 wprowadza się ustęp 12a, który otrzymuje brzmienie: 2. In 4, after paragraph 12, paragraph 12a is added, which shall read as follows: 12a. Uczestnicy studiów doktoranckich prowadzonych przez daną jednostkę mogą przenieść się na inne studia doktoranckie (różniące się programem) prowadzone przez tę samą jednostkę na wniosek doktoranta, który nie ma otwartego przewodu, tylko w trakcie dwóch pierwszych lat ich trwania. Przeniesienie takie może się odbyć pod warunkiem przejścia procedury rekrutacyjnej na nowe studia. Wniosek doktoranta o takie przeniesienie musi zostać zaopiniowany przez dotychczasowego opiekuna naukowego i dotychczasowego kierownika studiów doktoranckich, a następnie uzyskać akceptację: 1) kierownika studiów doktoranckich, na które doktorant zamierza się przenieść, 2) kandydata na nowego opiekuna naukowego (o ile będzie to inna osoba, niż dotychczasowy opiekun naukowy). Przeniesienie takie wymagać będzie od doktoranta zrealizowania całego cyklu programowego na nowych studiach, przy czym całkowity czas odbywania studiów doktoranckich przez daną osobę nie może być dłuższy niż sześć lat. "12a. Doctoral students of studies conducted by a given unit may transfer to other doctoral programs (with different syllabus) run by the same unit at the request of a Ph.D. student who has not registered to the Ph.D. title conferment procedure, only during the first two years of their study. Such transfer may take place providing that the student has undergone the enrollment procedure for the new studies. The application must be approved by the current research supervisor and the current head of doctoral studies, and then obtain the approval of: 1) the head of the doctoral program to which the doctoral student intends to transfer, 2) the candidate for a new research supervisor (unless he/she is the current research supervisor). Such transfer will require the doctorate student to complete the entire program cycle in new studies, while the total duration of doctoral studies may not exceed six years. " 3. Zmianie ulega 18 pkt 6, określający prawa Doktoranta, który otrzymuje brzmienie: 3. 18 item 6, which defines the Ph.D. student's rights, shall read as follows: 6) wnioskowania do kierownika studiów o zmianę jednostki prowadzącej studia lub o przeniesienie na inne studia prowadzone przez tę samą jednostkę w trybie określonym odpowiednio w 4 ust. 12 i 12a "6) request the head of studies to change the study unit or transfer to other studies conducted by the same unit in accordance with 4, paragraphs 12 and 12a, or change of research supervisor. lub o zmianę opiekuna naukowego, pod warunkiem załączenia do wniosku uzasadnienia i zgody nowego opiekuna naukowego na podjęcie się pełnienia tej funkcji. Do wniosku musi zostać dołączona także opinia dotychczasowego opiekuna. Nowym opiekunem może zostać jedynie osoba, która spełnia warunki, o których mowa w 12 ust. 3. Jeżeli zmiana opiekuna może powodować zaburzenie prowadzenia prac badawczych (granty), w których uczestniczył doktorant, to kierownik jednostki, podejmując decyzję o zmianie, ma prawo określić warunki zmiany opiekuna zabezpieczające interes danej jednostki organizacyjnej, application must be accompanied by a written explanation and consent of the new research supervisor to take up the role, as well as the opinion of the current supervisor. Only a person who satisfies the conditions referred to in 12 paragraph 3 can become a new supervisor. If a change of supervisor may in any way compromise the research (grants) that the student took part in, then the head of the unit, when deciding about the transfer, is entitled to determine the conditions for the change of research supervisor, securing the interest of the organizational unit." 2. Tekst jednolity Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich na Politechnice Gdańskiej stanowi załącznik do niniejszej uchwały. 3. Z dniem wejścia w życie niniejszego regulaminu traci moc załącznik do uchwały Senatu PG nr 362/2016/XXIII z dnia 20 kwietnia 2016 r. w sprawie przyjęcia Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich na Politechnice Gdańskiej. 4. Uchwała wchodzi w życie z dniem podjęcia, przy czym wprowadzony na jej podstawie regulamin obowiązuje od roku akademickiego 2017/2018. 2. The consolidated text of the Regulations for doctoral studies at Gdańsk University of Technology is annexed to the Resolution. 3. As of the date of entry into force of these Regulations, the Annexe to the Resolution of the GUT Senate No. 362/2016 / XXIII of 20April 2016 adopting the Regulations for doctoral studies at Gdańsk University of Technology shall expire. 4. The Resolution comes into force on the day of its adoption, and the Regulations shall apply from academic year 2017/2018. Regulamin studiów doktoranckich określa organizację i tok studiów doktoranckich oraz związane z nimi prawa i obowiązki doktoranta. 2. 1. Podstawy prawne Regulaminu studiów doktoranckich stanowią: 1) ustawa z dnia 27 lipca 2005 r. Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym (tekst jednolity Dz.U. z 2016 r. poz. 1842 ze zm.), zwana dalej ustawą, 2) ustawa z dnia 14 marca 2003 r. o stopniach naukowych i tytule naukowym oraz o stopniach i tytule w zakresie sztuki (tekst jednolity Dz. Regulations for doctoral studies determine the organization and the course of doctoral studies and the related rights and responsibilities of doctoral students. 2. 1. Użyte w niniejszym regulaminie pojęcia oznaczają: 1) doktorant uczestnik studiów doktoranckich, 2) kierownik jednostki organizacyjnej dziekan wydziału, 3) rada jednostki organizacyjnej rada wydziału, 4) uczelnia Politechnika Gdańska, 5) jednostka organizacyjna wydział. 6) The Statute of Gdańsk University of Technology. 2. The terms listed below, which are used in these Regulations, shall be understood as follows: 1) doctoral student a participant of doctoral studies, 2) head of the organizational unit - the dean of the faculty, 3) board of the organizational unit - the faculty board, 4) university Gdańsk University of Technology, 5) organizational unit - the faculty. I. Przepisy ogólne 3. 1. Studia doktoranckie mogą prowadzić jednostki organizacyjne uczelni, które mają uprawnienia do nadawania stopnia naukowego doktora habilitowanego albo co najmniej dwa uprawnienia do nadawania stopnia naukowego doktora w zakresie dyscyplin odpowiadających tym uprawnieniom. 2. Studia doktoranckie mogą być studiami środowiskowymi prowadzonymi przez jednostki, o których mowa w ust. 1. Szczegółowy podział zadań poszczególnych jednostek oraz sposób finansowania studiów doktoranckich określają umowy zawarte między tymi jednostkami. 3. Wykłady na Politechnice Gdańskiej prowadzone w ramach stacjonarnych studiów doktoranckich są otwarte. 4. Wykłady i zajęcia na studiach doktoranckich mogą być prowadzone: 1) w języku obcym, w zakresie wybranych przedmiotów określonych w programie studiów, z zachowaniem zasady, że egzaminy lub zaliczenia w zakresie tych przedmiotów również powinny być prowadzone w języku obcym, 2) z wykorzystaniem technik kształcenia na odległość. 5. Studia doktoranckie są tworzone przez rektora na wniosek rady jednostki organizacyjnej, o I. General Provisions 3. 1. Doctoral studies can be conducted by the university organizational units entitled to confer a postdoctoral degree (doktor habilitowany) or which are authorised to confer the doctoral degree in at least two disciplines. 2. Organizational units referred to in paragraph 1 may provide partnership-based doctoral studies. The tasks of each organizational unit and the method of funding doctoral studies shall be specified in agreements concluded between the given units. 3. Lectures at Gdańsk University of Technology conducted within full-time doctoral studies curriculum are open. 4. Lectures and classes on doctoral studies can be carried out: 1) in a foreign language, for selected subjects determined in the study curriculum, provided that the subject completion or examinations are also conducted in a foreign language, 2) using distance learning techniques. 5. Doctoral studies are instituted by the rector following the request of the board of the 5 S t r o n a / P a g e

której mowa w ust. 1. organizational unit referred to in paragraph 1. 4. 1. Rektor, po zasięgnięciu opinii właściwej rady jednostki organizacyjnej i właściwego organu samorządu doktorantów, powołuje i odwołuje kierownika studiów doktoranckich. 2. Rektor określa regulamin przyznawania stypendiów doktoranckich i zwiększenia stypendium doktoranckiego z dotacji podmiotowej na sfinansowanie zadań projakościowych. 3. Właściwy organ samorządu doktorantów wyraża opinię, o której mowa w ust. 1, w terminie 14 dni od dnia otrzymania wniosku o jej wydanie, z tym, że wymóg zasięgnięcia opinii uważa się za spełniony również w przypadku bezskutecznego upływu tego terminu. 4. Kierownik studiów doktoranckich: 1) organizuje realizację programu studiów doktoranckich, 2) dokonuje oceny realizacji programu studiów doktoranckich, w tym prowadzenia badań naukowych przez doktorantów, w sposób określony przez radę jednostki organizacyjnej, 3) podejmuje decyzje w sprawie zaliczenia kolejnych lat studiów doktoranckich, 4) wyraża zgodę na przedłużenie okresu odbywania studiów doktoranckich, 5) przewodniczy komisji przyznającej stypendia, o których mowa w ust.2, 6) zatwierdza indywidualne zajęcia doktorantów, 7) na wniosek doktoranta wyraża zgodę na przesunięcie terminu zaliczenia przedmiotu, nie dłużej jednak niż o rok, 5. Studia doktoranckie trwają 4 lata, z wyjątkiem przypadków wymienionych w ust. 6, 7 i 8 i kończą się zatwierdzeniem przez radę jednostki organizacyjnej uzyskania przez doktoranta stopnia doktora. 6. W przypadkach uzasadnionych koniecznością prowadzenia przez doktoranta długotrwałych 4. 1. The rector shall appoint and dismiss the head of doctoral studies, following the opinions of the competent board of the organizational unit and the competent body of the doctoral student government (self-governing doctoral students unit). 2. The rector shall stipulate the regulations for awarding doctoral scholarships and an increase in doctoral scholarships from the grant for the promotion of excellence. 3. The competent body of the doctoral student government issues an opinion referred to in paragraph 1 within 14 days from the date when the request for its issue has been submitted. The requirement to consult the doctoral student government shall be deemed to be satisfied even if no opinion is issued within the given deadline. 4. The head of doctoral studies shall: 1) enable the fulfillment of the doctoral studies curriculum, 2) assess the fulfillment of the doctoral studies curriculum, including research conducted by doctoral students, as specified by the board of the organizational unit, 3) make decisions concerning the completion of consecutive years of doctoral studies, 4) agree to extend the duration of doctoral studies, 5) chair the committee awarding scholarships referred to in paragraph 2, 6) approve individual courses of doctoral students, 7) agree to postpone the date of subject completion (by not longer than one year) at the request of a doctoral student, 5. Doctoral studies last 4 years except for the cases mentioned in paragraphs 6, 7 and 8, and are completed after the doctoral degree (tytuł doktora) awarded to a doctoral student has been approved by the board of the organizational unit. 6. Doctoral studies may be prolonged by not longer than 2 years for doctoral students conducting 6 S t r o n a / P a g e

badań naukowych, kierownik studiów doktoranckich może, po zasięgnięciu opinii promotora, przedłużyć o nie więcej niż 2 lata okres odbywania studiów doktoranckich, zwalniając jednocześnie doktoranta z obowiązku uczestniczenia w zajęciach w tym okresie 7. W uzasadnionych przypadkach, kierownik studiów doktoranckich może przedłużyć, łącznie nie dłużej niż o jeden rok, okres odbywania studiów doktoranckich, zwalniając jednocześnie doktoranta z obowiązku uczestniczenia w zajęciach. Przypadkami tymi są w szczególności: 1) czasowa niezdolność do odbywania tych studiów spowodowana chorobą, 2) sprawowanie osobistej opieki na chorym członkiem rodziny, 3) sprawowanie osobistej opieki na dzieckiem do 4 roku życia lub dzieckiem o orzeczonej niepełnosprawności, 4) posiadanie orzeczenia o stopniu niepełnosprawności. 8. Na wniosek doktoranta, kierownik studiów doktoranckich może dodatkowo przedłużyć okres trwania studiów doktoranckich o okres odpowiadający czasowi trwania urlopu macierzyńskiego, dodatkowego urlopu macierzyńskiego, urlopu na warunkach urlopu macierzyńskiego, dodatkowego urlopu na warunkach urlopu macierzyńskiego, urlopu ojcowskiego oraz urlopu rodzicielskiego, określonych w odrębnych przepisach. 9. Kierownik jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej studia doktoranckie rozpatruje zastrzeżenia doktorantów do ocen, o których mowa w ust. 4 pkt 2 oraz w sprawie zaliczenia roku studiów, o którym mowa w ust. 4 pkt 3, w terminie czternastu dni od ich otrzymania. 10. Wznawianie studiów doktoranckich nie jest możliwe. 11. Zmiana formy studiów (ze stacjonarnych na niestacjonarne lub odwrotnie) może nastąpić na wniosek doktoranta po zakończeniu dowolnego semestru studiów, za zgodą opiekuna naukowego / promotora i kierownika jednostki organizacyjnej po zaopiniowaniu przez kierownika studiów. 12. Zmiana jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej long-term research, with the consent of the head of doctoral studies after obtaining the opinion of the dissertation supervisor. The doctoral student is not obliged to participate in the classes during this period. 7. In justified cases, the head of doctoral studies may extend the duration of doctoral studies for a total of not more than one year, while exempting the doctoral student from the obligation to participate in the classes, particularly in the event of: 1) temporary inability to pursue the studies due to illness, 2) providing personal care for an ill family member, 3) providing personal care for a child of less than 4 years old or a child with certified disability, 4) an assessment of disability. 8. At the request of a doctoral student the head of doctoral studies may also extend the duration of doctoral studies by a period corresponding to the duration of maternity leave, additional maternity leave, leave under the terms of maternity leave, additional leave under the terms of maternity leave, paternity leave and parental leave, specified in separate regulations. 9. The head of the organizational unit conducting doctoral studies shall consider doctoral students objections concerning the assessments, referred to in paragraph 4 item 2, and completing a year of study, referred to in paragraph 4 item 3, within fourteen days of their receipt. 10. Doctoral studies may not be resumed. 11. Changing the mode of studies (from full-time to part-time or vice versa) is possible at the request of a doctoral student at the end of any semester subject to the consent of the research / dissertation supervisor and the head of organizational unit, and after receiving an opinion from the head of doctoral studies. 12. Wniosek musi zostać zaopiniowany przez dotychczasowego opiekuna i dotychczasowego kierownika studiów doktoranckich, a następnie uzyskać akceptację: 1) kierownika studiów doktoranckich, na które doktorant zamierza się przenieść, 2) kandydata na nowego opiekuna naukowego (o ile będzie to inna osoba, niż dotychczasowy opiekun naukowy). 12a. Uczestnicy studiów doktoranckich prowadzonych przez daną jednostkę mogą przenieść się na inne studia doktoranckie (różniące się programem) prowadzone przez tę samą jednostkę na wniosek doktoranta, który nie ma otwartego przewodu, tylko w trakcie dwóch pierwszych lat ich trwania. Przeniesienie takie może się odbyć pod warunkiem przejścia procedury rekrutacyjnej na nowe studia. Wniosek doktoranta o takie przeniesienie musi zostać zaopiniowany przez dotychczasowego opiekuna naukowego i dotychczasowego kierownika studiów doktoranckich, a następnie uzyskać akceptację: 1) kierownika studiów doktoranckich, na które doktorant zamierza się przenieść, 2) kandydata na nowego opiekuna naukowego (o ile będzie to inna osoba, niż dotychczasowy opiekun naukowy). Przeniesienie takie wymagać będzie od doktoranta zrealizowania całego cyklu programowego na nowych studiach, przy czym całkowity czas odbywania studiów doktoranckich przez daną osobę nie może być dłuższy niż sześć lat. 13. Uczestnicy studiów doktoranckich prowadzonych na innych uczelniach mogą przenieść się na studia doktoranckie prowadzone na Politechnice Gdańskiej, pod warunkiem przejścia procedury rekrutacyjnej. Decyzję o przyjęciu kandydata na studia podejmuje komisja rekrutacyjna danej jednostki organizacyjnej uczelni ds. studiów trzeciego stopnia. W terminie 2 tygodni od uprawomocnienia się decyzji komisji, kierownik studiów doktoranckich, po zasięgnięciu opinii opiekuna naukowego, podejmuje decyzję o roku, doctoral studies can take place only during the first two years of studies at the request of a doctoral student who has not registered to the PhD title conferment procedure. Participants of doctoral studies conducted at other universities may move to doctoral studies conducted at Gdańsk University of Technology subject to the admission procedure. The decision on the candidate s admission is taken by the admissions committee of a given organizational unit for the third-cycle studies. Once the committee s decision comes into force, the head of doctoral studies has two weeks to decide on the year to which the doctoral student will be admitted and on recognizing the previously completed subjects, after consulting the research supervisor. 8 S t r o n a / P a g e

Nadzór merytoryczny nad prowadzeniem studiów doktoranckich sprawuje właściwa rada jednostki organizacyjnej. 2. Ogólny nadzór nad działalnością studiów doktoranckich prowadzonych w uczelni sprawuje rektor. 6. 1. Doktoranci uczelni tworzą samorząd doktorantów. Organy samorządu działają na zasadach określonych w regulaminie samorządu doktorantów. 2. Wybrani w wyborach przedstawiciele samorządu doktorantów wchodzą w skład rad jednostek organizacyjnych i senatu uczelni. Przedstawiciele samorządu doktorantów mogą uczestniczyć w pracach komisji senackich, rektorskich i dziekańskich. Tryb wyboru przedstawicieli samorządu i ich delegowania do komisji określa regulamin samorządu doktorantów. 5. 1. The competent board of the organizational unit shall provide substantive supervision of doctoral studies. 2. The rector shall provide general supervision of doctoral studies conducted at the university. 6. 1. Doctoral students of the university found the doctoral student government. The government bodies shall operate pursuant to the regulations for the doctoral student government. 2. Representatives of the doctoral student government are chosen in elections and become members of the boards of organizational units and the Senate of the university. They may participate in the works of the Senate, rector s and dean s committees. The election procedure and the basis for their appointment to the committees are specified in the regulations for the doctoral student government. II. Rekrutacja 7. 1. Rekrutacja na studia doktoranckie odbywa się w drodze konkursu. 2. Senat uczelni określa corocznie warunki i tryb rekrutacji na studia doktoranckie i ogłasza je zgodnie z odrębnymi przepisami. Warunki i tryb rekrutacji uchwalane przez senat mogą przewidywać stosowanie przez komisje rekrutacyjne jednostek dodatkowych kryteriów merytorycznych wynikających ze specyfiki studiów doktoranckich w danej dyscyplinie. Uchwała senatu musi określać zasady ustalania list rankingowych oraz sposób obliczania punktów obowiązujący w poszczególnych jednostkach organizacyjnych, uwzględniający dotychczasowe osiągnięcia naukowe kandydatów, w tym laureatów konkursu Diamentowy Grant. II. Admission procedure 7. 1. Admisssion to doctoral studies is conducted in the form of competition. 2. The admission procedure and conditions are established and announced annually by the Senate of the university in accordance with separate regulations. Admissions committees of the organizational units may adopt additional substantive criteria related to the nature of doctoral studies in a given discipline. Rules for establishing ranking lists and scores for individual organizational units shall be determined by the Senate s resolution, taking into account current scientific achievements of the candidates, including winners of the "Diamond Grant" programme. 9 S t r o n a / P a g e

Warunkiem przyjęcia kandydata na studia doktoranckie jest spełnienie kryteriów: 1) określonych w zasadach rekrutacji, 2) określonych przez komisję rekrutacyjną jednostki organizacyjnej, 3) przedstawienie pisemnej zgody samodzielnego pracownika naukowego, którego nazwisko umieszczono na liście określonej w 10 ust.3 pkt.6, na sprawowanie opieki naukowej nad kandydatem. 4. Rekrutację w trybie konkursu przeprowadzają komisje rekrutacyjne powołane przez kierownika jednostki organizacyjnej uczelni. Osoby niepełnosprawne przystępujące do konkursu mogą zwrócić się do komisji rekrutacyjnej o zapewnienie w trakcie konkursu warunków, o których mowa w 10 ust. 5 niniejszego regulaminu. 5. Decyzję o przyjęciu kandydata na studia podejmuje komisja rekrutacyjna danej jednostki organizacyjnej uczelni ds. studiów trzeciego stopnia 6. Od decyzji komisji rekrutacyjnej przysługuje odwołanie do rektora uczelni, w terminie czternastu dni od dnia doręczenia decyzji. Podstawą odwołania może być jedynie wskazanie naruszenia warunków i trybu rekrutacji na studia doktoranckie. Decyzja rektora jest ostateczna. 7. Wyniki postępowania rekrutacyjnego są jawne. Komisje rekrutacyjne publikują listy przyjętych osób wraz z liczbą uzyskanych przez nie punktów za poszczególne składowe postępowania, mające wpływ na wynik końcowy. 3. Candidates for doctoral studies shall: 1) fulfill the admission criteria stipulated in the admission regulations, 2) fulfill the admission criteria stipulated by the admissions committee of an organizational unit, 3) present a written statement of an independent research worker whose name has been placed on the list referred to in 10 paragraph 3 item 6, in which he/she agrees to become the candidate s research supervisor. 4. Admission procedure in the form of competition is carried out by admissions committees appointed by the head of an organizational unit of the university. People with disabilities entering the competition may apply to the admissions committee for ensuring the conditions referred to in 10 paragraph 5 of the Regulations, during the competition. 5. The decision to admit a candidate to doctoral studies is taken by the admissions committee of the university organizational unit for third-cycle (doctoral) studies. 6. The decision of the admissions committee may be appealed against to the rector of the university within fourteen days from the date of its receipt. The only grounds for the appeal is a violation of regulations and procedures of admission to doctoral studies. The rector's decision shall be final. 7. The results of the admission procedure shall be made public. The admissions committees publish the lists of admitted candidates together with their scores for individual components of the procedure, which have an influence on the final result. III. Organizacja i program studiów 8. 1. Studia doktoranckie są prowadzone jako studia stacjonarne lub niestacjonarne. 2. Stacjonarne studia doktoranckie są bezpłatne. dyspozycji jednostek organizacyjnych, które je prowadzą oraz innych źródeł, które mogą zostać wskazane przez rektora. 3. Niestacjonarne studia doktoranckie są płatne. Wysokość opłaty semestralnej lub rocznej, nieprzekraczającej kosztów kształcenia, ustala rektor na wniosek właściwego kierownika jednostki organizacyjnej. Warunki odpłatności za studia doktoranckie określa umowa zawarta w formie pisemnej między uczelnią a doktorantem wg wzoru określonego przez senat. 4. Senat uczelni uchwala zasady pobierania opłat wiążące rektora przy zawieraniu umów, o których mowa w ust. 3, w tym tryb i warunki zwalniania doktorantów w całości lub w części z tych opłat. 9. 1. Rok akademicki na studiach doktoranckich składa się z dwóch semestrów i rozpoczyna się nie później niż 1 października, a kończy najpóźniej 30 września roku następnego. 2. Niezależnie od daty przyjęcia doktoranta na studia doktoranckie, czas trwania studiów liczy się od pierwszego dnia semestru, w którym doktorant został przyjęty. 10. 1. Senat określa wytyczne do planu i programu studiów. 2. Plan i program studiów doktoranckich, mające charakter ramowy, opracowane zgodnie z wytycznymi senatu, uchwalają rady jednostek organizacyjnych uprawnionych do prowadzenia studiów i udostępniają je na stronach internetowych uczelni. Program studiów musi zawierać określenie efektów kształcenia. 3. Rada jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej studia doktoranckie: 1) zatwierdza sposób organizacji zajęć prowadzonych na studiach doktoranckich, w tym warunki i tryb odbywania zajęć dydaktycznych, 2) określa sposób dokonywania oceny realizacji programu studiów doktoranckich, w tym the studies as well as other sources, which may be indicated by the rector. 3. Part-time doctoral studies are paid. The level of tuition fee for a semester or year, not exceeding the cost of education, is determined by the rector at the request of the competent head of the organizational unit. Terms of payment for doctoral studies shall be determined by a written agreement between the university and a doctoral student according to the form adopted by the Senate. 4. The Senate of the university shall adopt the Regulations for charging the tuition fee, referred to in paragraph 3, which shall be binding upon the rector when concluding agreements with students, including the procedures and conditions for exempting the doctoral students entirely or partially from the fee. 9. 1. The academic year at doctoral studies consists of two semesters beginning not later than on 1 October and ending not later than on 30 September of the following year. 2. The duration of studies is calculated from the first day of the semester to which the doctoral student has been admitted, irrespective of the admission date. 10. 1. The Senate determines the guidelines for the study plan and curriculum. 2. The general plan and curriculum of doctoral studies, developed in accordance with the guidelines of the Senate, shall be adopted and made available on university websites by the boards of organizational units authorised to conduct studies. The study curriculum must include a description of learning outcomes. 3. The board of an organizational unit conducting doctoral studies shall: 1) approve the organization of courses conducted at doctoral studies, including the terms and mode of teaching, 2) determine the method of assessing fulfillment of the doctoral study curriculum, 11 S t r o n a / P a g e

zasady składania egzaminów i uzyskiwania zaliczeń z przedmiotów objętych programem studiów, 3) określa sposób dokonywania oceny prowadzenia badań naukowych przez doktorantów, 4) określa wymiar oraz zasady przydzielania zajęć dydaktycznych, które powinien prowadzić lub współprowadzić doktorant, o ile nie jest zwolniony z obowiązku ich prowadzenia z mocy prawa. W uzasadnionych przypadkach można przydzielić doktorantowi większą lub mniejszą liczbę godzin w ramach praktyki zawodowej, przy czym różnica nie może przekroczyć 25% wymiaru ustalonego przez radę jednostki organizacyjnej, a całkowita liczba godzin w ciągu roku akademickiego nie może być mniejsza niż 10 i większa niż 90. Zmniejszenie wymiaru możliwe jest po uzyskaniu zgody kierownika jednostki organizacyjnej. 5) określa wymagania odnośnie dorobku naukowego kandydata na opiekuna naukowego, o którym mowa w 12 ust. 3, 6) przed rozpoczęciem rekrutacji zatwierdza listę samodzielnych pracowników naukowych spełniających kryteria o których mowa w 12 ust. 3, spośród których kandydaci mogą wybierać opiekunów. Lista ta ogłaszana jest przed rozpoczęciem rekrutacji na stronie internetowej jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej studia doktoranckie wraz z tematyką naukową opiekunów oraz wykazem pięciu najważniejszych osiągnięć składających się na aktualny dorobek naukowy z okresu ostatnich pięciu lat. 4. Indywidualny program studiów, mieszczący się w granicach programu ramowego, ustala doktorant w porozumieniu z opiekunem naukowym i przedstawia do zaakceptowania kierownikowi studiów doktoranckich. Indywidualny program studiów może obejmować przedmioty prowadzone w macierzystej uczelni, jak i w innych uczelniach. 5. Na wniosek doktoranta będącego osobą niepełnosprawną, program studiów doktoranckich, w tym warunki i tryb prowadzenia including the rules of exam taking procedures and completing subjects within the curriculum, 3) determine the method of assessing research work carried out by doctoral students, 4) define the teaching load and the rules for assigning courses which should be led or coled by a doctoral student unless he/she is exempted from the requirement for their conduct under the law. In justified cases, a doctoral student can be assigned a greater or smaller number of hours of professional practice. The difference may not exceed 25% of the teaching load determined by the board of the organizational unit, and the total number of hours during an academic year shall not be less than 10 or greater than 90. Reducing the teaching load is possible after obtaining the consent of the head of the organizational unit. 5) specify the requirements for scientific achievements made by a candidate for a research supervisor, referred to in 12 paragraph 3. 6) approve the list of independent research workers meeting the criteria referred to in 12 paragraph 3, from whom the candidates can choose their research supervisors. This list of names, together with the scientific research area of research supervisors and a list of their five most important scientific achievements from the past five years, is approved and published on the website of the organizational unit conducting doctoral studies before the admission procedure begins. 4. Individual study curriculum, complying with the framework, shall be established by a doctoral student in consultation with the research supervisor and submitted for acceptance to the head of doctoral studies. An individual study curricum may include courses conducted at the student s host university, as well as other universities. 5. At the request of the doctoral student who is a disabled person the curriculum of doctoral studies, including the terms and mode of 12 S t r o n a / P a g e

zajęć, terminy egzaminów i zaliczeń, organizacja praktyk zawodowych w postaci prowadzenia przez doktorantów zajęć dydaktycznych, uwzględniają szczególne potrzeby doktoranta wynikające ze stopnia jego niepełnosprawności. Niezbędne zmiany wprowadza kierownik studiów. W przypadku uczestniczenia w studiach doktoranckich osób niepełnosprawnych ruchowo, kierownik studiów wyznacza miejsce zajęć, mając na uwadze dostępność architektoniczną pomieszczeń, w których mają się odbywać. 6. Organizacja i zasady prowadzenia studiów doktoranckich określone w 10 ust. 3 są publikowane na stronie internetowej jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej studia doktoranckie przed rozpoczęciem roku akademickiego. 11. 1. Do oceniania zaliczeń i egzaminów stosuje się następującą skalę: bardzo dobry (5), dobry plus (4,5), dobry (4), dostateczny plus (3,5), dostateczny (3), niedostateczny (2), albo zaliczenie bez skali (zal.). 2. Informacje o wynikach egzaminów i zaliczeń przekazuje doktorantom prowadzący zajęcia lub osoba przez niego upoważniona bezpośrednio na zajęciach bądź pocztą elektroniczną wyłącznie na adres w systemie pocztowym Politechniki Gdańskiej. 12. 1. Do czasu otwarcia przewodu doktorskiego doktorant pozostaje pod opieką merytoryczną opiekuna naukowego. 2. Po otwarciu przewodu doktorskiego, które powinno nastąpić w jednostce prowadzącej lub współprowadzącej dane studia doktoranckie nie później niż na III roku studiów, doktorant pozostaje pod opieką merytoryczną promotora powołanego przez radę jednostki organizacyjnej. 3. Funkcję opiekuna naukowego i promotora powierza się osobie, która spełnia łącznie trzy teaching, examination and subject completion dates, the organization of professional practice in the form of conducting courses by a doctoral student, shall take into account special needs arising from the doctoral student s degree of disability. Necessary changes shall be made by the head of studies. In the case of doctoral students with physical disabilities the head of studies shall determine the place of conducting classes which will be accessible for the student. 6. Organization and regulations regarding doctoral studies stipulated in 10 paragraph 3 are published on the website of the organizational unit conducting doctoral studies before the academic year starts. 11. 1. In examinations and subject completion evaluation the following grading system shall be used: very good (5), good plus (4.5), good (4), satisfactory plus (3.5), satisfactory (3), unsatisfactory (2) or completion without grading (pass). 2. Information about the results of examinations and subject completion shall be announced to doctoral students by staff members conducting the courses or persons authorised by them, directly during the classes or by e-mail only to an e-mail address belonging to Gdańsk University of Technology mail system. 12. 1. Until the registration to the PhD title conferment procedure, a doctoral student is under the substantive supervision of the research supervisor. 2. After the registration to the PhD title conferment procedure, which should take place in the unit conducting or co-hosting given doctoral studies not later than within the third year of studies, a doctoral student is under the substantive supervision of the dissertation supervisor appointed by the board of the organizational unit. 3. warunki: 1) posiada tytuł naukowy lub stopień naukowy doktora habilitowanego lub uprawnienia równoważne nabyte na mocy art. 20 ust. 8 lub art. 21a ust.1 ustawy z dnia 14 marca 2003 r. o stopniach naukowych i tytule naukowym oraz o stopniach i tytule w zakresie sztuki (Dz. U. z 2014 r. poz. 1852),w zakresie danej lub pokrewnej dyscypliny naukowej, 2) posiada aktualny dorobek naukowy z okresu ostatnich pięciu lat określony przez radę jednostki organizacyjnej, 3) jej nazwisko znajduje się na liście, o której mowa w 10 ust. 3 pkt 6. 4. Do obowiązków opiekuna naukowego i promotora należy: 1) określenie wraz z doktorantem tematyki pracy doktorskiej wraz z założeniami do jej realizacji oraz coroczne ustalanie planu pracy, 2) udzielanie doktorantowi niezbędnej pomocy merytorycznej i metodycznej w pracy naukowej, 3) pomoc w organizacji warsztatu badawczego, 4) udzielanie wskazówek metodycznych i pomoc w zdobywaniu doświadczeń dydaktycznych, 5) opiniowanie wniosków o przedłużanie studiów doktoranckich, 6) wnioskowanie do kierownika studiów doktoranckich o skreślenie z listy uczestników studiów doktoranckich w przypadku niewywiązywania się przez doktoranta z obowiązków, o których mowa w 15 pkt 5 i 6. 7) wnioskowanie do rektora o wszczęcie postępowania dyscyplinarnego w przypadku stwierdzenia naruszenia przez doktoranta praw własności intelektualnej lub postępowania doktoranta niezgodnie z zasadami rzetelności w badaniach naukowych, z treścią ślubowania, regulaminem studiów doktoranckich, kartą etyki doktoranta, oraz innymi przepisami obowiązującymi w uczelni. 5. Opiekun naukowy lub promotor dokonuje w conditions: 1) hold the academic title or a postdoctoral degree (doktor habilitowany) or equivalent qualifications acquired pursuant to Art. 20 paragraph 8 or Art. 21a paragraph 1 of the Act of 14 March 2003, the Law on Academic Degrees and Titles and on Degrees and Titles in the Arts (Journal of Laws of 2014, item 1852), in the given or related field, 2) have current scientific achievements during the past five years as specified by the board of the organizational unit, 3) have his/her name on the list referred to in 10 paragraph 3 item 6. 4. The research / dissertation supervisor must: 1) determine, together with the doctoral student, the subject of the dissertation along with its objectives, and develop the research plan annually, 2) provide a doctoral candidate with the necessary substantive and methodological assistance in research work, 3) provide assistance in the organization of research methods, 4) provide methodological guidance and assistance in gaining teaching experience, 5) issue an opinion on the applications for extension of doctoral studies, 6) submit a request to the head of doctoral studies for exclusion from the doctoral students register in case of a doctoral student failing to comply with the responsibilities referred to in 15 item 5 and 6. 7) submit a request to the rector for disciplinary action in the event of a breach of intellectual property rights by a doctoral student or violation of the principles of fairness in scientific research, the oath, the regulations for doctoral studies, the code of ethics for doctoral students and other applicable rules of the university. 5. każdym semestrze oceny postępów w pracy naukowej uczestnika studiów doktoranckich i przedstawia ją doktorantowi i kierownikowi studiów. Ocena ma formę ankiety, której wzór określa rektor. 6. Promotorem pomocniczym w przewodzie doktorskim, który pełni istotną funkcję pomocniczą w opiece nad doktorantem, w tym w szczególności w procesie planowania badań, ich realizacji i analizy wyników może być osoba posiadająca stopień doktora w zakresie danej lub pokrewnej dyscypliny naukowej lub artystycznej i nieposiadająca uprawnień do pełnienia funkcji promotora w przewodzie doktorskim. 7. Opiekun naukowy może w uzasadnionych przypadkach zrezygnować z pełnienia swojej funkcji. W przypadku rezygnacji dotychczasowy opiekun naukowy musi poinformować pisemnie radę jednostki organizacyjnej prowadzącej studia o powodach swojej decyzji. Dotychczasowy opiekun naukowy pełni obowiązki do czasu uzyskania zgody nowego opiekuna naukowego. 8. W przypadku niemożności pełnienia obowiązków przez dotychczasowego opiekuna naukowego doktoranta, w terminie 30 dni od daty powiadomienia doktoranta o tym fakcie przez kierownika studiów doktoranckich, doktorant uzgadnia kontynuowanie pełnienia tej funkcji z wybranym przez siebie nowym opiekunem naukowym, spełniającym kryteria określone w ust.3 powyżej i zawiadamia o tym kierownika studiów doktoranckich na piśmie, załączając zgodę nowego opiekuna naukowego na podjęcie się pełnienia tej funkcji. Jeśli doktorant nie przedstawi we wskazanym wyżej 30-dniowym terminie uzgodnionej propozycji nowego opiekuna, dziekan może w ciągu dodatkowych 30 dni powierzyć rolę opiekuna innemu pracownikowi wydziału. Jeżeli żaden z uprawnionych pracowników wydziału nie podejmie się opieki naukowej, kierownik studiów doktoranckich skreśla doktoranta z listy uczestników studiów doktoranckich. 13. Obsługę administracyjną studiów doktoranckich supervisor shall assess the progress in research work made by a doctoral student and present the results to the doctoral student and the head of the studies in the form of a survey specified by the rector. 6. The auxiliary dissertation supervisor in the registration and conferment procedure of the PhD title provides essential assistance to a doctoral student, in particular in planning and conducting research and analysis of its results. He/She can be a holder of a doctoral degree in a given or related scientific or artistic field, not being authorized to be a dissertation supervisor in the registration and conferment procedure of the PhD title. 7. The research supervisor may resign from his/her function in justified cases. In case of resignation, the research supervisor must submit the reasons for his/her decision in writing to the board of the organizational unit conducting the studies. The current supervisor shall perform his/her duties until a new supervisor is appointed. 8. If the current research supervisor is not able to perform the duties, the doctoral student has 30 days from the date of notification of this fact by the head of studies to choose a person who agrees to continue the role of the research supervisor and meets the criteria laid down in paragraph 3 above. The doctoral student shall notify the head of doctoral studies on this decision in writing, enclosing the statement of the new research supervisor agreeing to undertake this role. Unless the doctoral student presents an agreed proposal of the new research supervisor within 30 days, as indicated above, the dean can entrust this role to another academic of the faculty within additional 30 days. If none of the authorised academics of the faculty undertakes this task, a doctoral student shall be excluded from the student register by the head of doctoral studies. 13. Prawa i obowiązki doktorantów 14. 1. Osoba przyjęta na studia doktoranckie nabywa prawa doktoranta z chwilą immatrykulacji i złożenia ślubowania, którego treść określa statut uczelni. 2. Uczestnik studiów doktoranckich otrzymuje indeks doktoranta, który jest dokumentem przedstawiającym przebieg i wyniki zaliczeń uzyskane podczas realizacji studiów. Indeks może być prowadzony w formie elektronicznej. Decyzję o wprowadzeniu indeksu w formie elektronicznej w danej jednostce organizacyjnej podejmuje kierownik studiów doktoranckich. Wpisy do indeksu wykonuje prowadzący przedmiot lub pracownik administracyjny na podstawie protokołu papierowego. 3. Uczestnik studiów doktoranckich otrzymuje legitymację doktoranta po uiszczeniu opłaty obowiązującej w uczelni. Legitymacja doktoranta przysługuje także w okresie przedłużenia studiów doktoranckich na zasadach określonych w niniejszym regulaminie. 4. Na wniosek osoby, która nie ukończyła studiów doktoranckich, uczelnia wydaje zaświadczenie o przebiegu studiów. Uczestnik studiów doktoranckich, który obronił pracę doktorską również może wystąpić o zaświadczenie o przebiegu studiów. 5. Osoba, która utraciła prawo posiadania legitymacji doktoranta zobowiązana jest do jej zwrotu w terminie 14 dni. 15. Doktorant zobowiązany jest do: 1) postępowania zgodnie z treścią ślubowania, regulaminem studiów doktoranckich, kartą etyki doktoranta oraz innymi przepisami obowiązującymi w uczelni, IV. Rights and responsibilities of doctoral students 14. 1. A person admitted to doctoral studies acquires the rights of a doctoral student upon matriculation and taking the student s oath, the content of which is defined by the statute of the university. 2. A doctoral student receives a student record book, which is a document showing the course of studies and completion of subjects throughout the studies. The student record book may have an electronic form and the decision on its introduction in a given organizational unit is taken by the head of doctoral studies. Entries in the student register book are made by academic staff members conducting the courses or administrative workers on the basis of a paper protocol. 3. A doctoral student receives a doctoral student ID card upon payment of the fee applicable at the university. Students with an extended period of doctoral studies under the terms of regulations hereof are also entitled to the doctoral student ID card. 4. At the request of a person who has not completed doctoral studies, the university will issue a certificate about the course of studies. A participant of doctoral studies who defended the doctoral dissertation may also apply for a certificate of the course of studies. 5. A person who has lost the right to hold a doctoral student ID card is obliged to return it within 14 days. 15.
