Skiers can fly to France, Switzerland, Austria or Italy in very little time. If they don t want to leave Britain, skiers can go to Scotland, where the ski industry has grown very quickly since it began in the early 1960s. Many people who try skiing are frightened at first, because they think it is dangerous, but soon find that skiing is much more exciting than a lot of other sports.
