Jesus, the perfect steward, gave thanks, just before He gave Himself to us completely for our salvation. He offers us the chance to drink from His cup. In the Eucharist, we meet Christ personally and if we listen to Him, we know what drinking from His cup means for each of us. Often, it means our own sacrifice giving up some of our time, talent and treasure to do His work on earth. THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (CORPUS CHRISTI) June 7, 2015 The cup of salvation I will take up and I will call upon the name of the LORD. - Psalm 116:13 CORPUS CHRISTI-BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST On Sunday, June 7th throughout the Catholic world we will celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. This year the faithful from various parishes of Webster and Dudley will join us at the 11:00am Liturgy in our Basilica. After Mass we will process toward Sacred Heart of Jesus Church/Emmaus Center praying at four altars. The four altars remind us of the four Gospels. The altars will be set on the road the first one at the front of St. Joseph Rectory, the second at the corner of Washington and Whitcomb Streets, the third at the Sacred Heart Church parking lot and the fourth at the Emmaus Center. Although the route is not long, those who have difficulty walking may join the procession at one of the altars. As the Blessed Sacrament travels through the streets, we ask people to decorate their homes, put candles in the windows and pay respect to the Blessed Sacrament.. We invite parishioners, parish organizations, various ministries in their official attire and banners, First Communion Class, Children of Mary, Altar Servers and Boy Scouts to join us. May our participation in this procession be an expression of The second collection is for our Parish Obligations to the Diocese. Next weekend s second collection is designated for Higher Utility and Energy costs. 3 Page 3 NOVENA AND DEVOTION TO ST. JOSEPH On Wednesday, June 10th members of the Holy Rosary Sodality are invited to carry the statue of our Patron from the Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel to the Sanctuary at 7:00pm for the Novena and Devotion to St. Joseph. We encourage parishioners and friends to join us and take advantage of the opportunity to receive graces through the intercession of St. Joseph. Please print your intentions legibly and place in the box provided. Thank you for your offerings. FRIDAY NIGHT BINGO We invite our parishioners and their family members to join our Bingo Regulars on Friday, June 12 at St. Joseph School. Doors open at 5:00pm and games begin at 6:45pm. Food is available for a light supper and we provide free coffee to our participants. We ask members of the #12980 Chapter of the Knights of Columbus to assist our guests on the 12th. Come and join us in the fun of an exciting evening with the chance to be a winner of some extra cash. CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION The traditional outdoor candlelight procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima will take place on Saturday, June 13th at 7:00pm. We kindly request the Children of Mary to take part in this beautiful tribute to our Lady wearing their distinctive dress as they carry the statue of the Blessed Mother. We ask all the faithful to join our school children, members of parish organizations, ministries and altar servers in praying the rosary. The flowers in front of the Blessed Mother Altar for Our Lady of Fatima is given in memory of Frank Kasierski from wife, Dottie. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2015! Next Saturday, June 13th at 4:00pm Mass we will welcome the 2015 Graduating Class of St. Joseph School. Each day will have its own faith based theme and will include music, a scripture story, crafts, games and a snack. We welcome children in Pre-K and up. Children in grades 6-12 are eligible to be camp counselors. Adult volunteers are also needed to help during camp. Cost is $30/week for campers. Richard Polek or check the website: World Youth Day Pilgrimage to Krakow, Poland July 19 - August 3, Every two years our young people gather with the Holy Father in various locations. This tradition began during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II and has grown in popularity. The cost is $2500. More details forthcoming. KRONIKA PARAFIALNA UROCZYSTOŚĆ BOŻEGO CIAŁA 7 czerwca 2015 Podniosę kielich zbawienia i wezwę imienia Pańskiego. (Ps 116, 13) Dawne Przymierze było figurą nowego, które zawarł Chrystus nie przez krew kozłów i cielców, lecz przez własną krew. Podczas gdy w Starym Testamencie ofiary były wielorakie i miały wartość czysto zewnętrzną i symboliczną, w Nowym istnieje tylko jedna ofiara, złożona raz na zawsze, jej wartość jest bowiem wewnętrzna, rzeczywista, nieskończona. Nie ma w niej ani zwierząt duszonych, ani ludzi cierpiących; ofiarą i kapłanem jest Syn Boży, który stał się człowiekiem i złożył Bogu samego siebie jako nieskalaną ofiarę ; krew Jego ma moc oczyszczania naszego sumienia z martwych uczynków, aby służyć Bogu Żywemu. Nie dotyczy to już oczyszczenia zewnętrznego, lecz wewnętrznego, które przekształca człowieka od wewnątrz, obmywając go z grzechów, aby żywy przez łaskę i miłość, mógł służyć Bogu Żywemu. Odrodzenie chrześcijanina dokonuje się w wodzie chrztu; ona jednak otrzymuje swoją moc z krwi Chrystusa, ponieważ bez rozlania krwi nie ma odpuszczenia.

BOŻE CIAŁO Dzisiejszej niedzieli obchodzimy uroczystość Bożego Ciała. Po Mszy św. o godz. 11:00 pójdziemy w uroczystej procesji ulicami naszego miasta do czterech ołtarzy. Procesję zakończymy przed Emmaus Center przy kościele Sacred Heart. Wszystkich parafian, którzy mieszkają przy trasie przejścia procesji prosimy o udekorowanie domów i przez to uwidocznienie swojej przynależności do Chrystusa. Do udziału w procesji zapraszamy wszystkich parafian i organizacje parafialne. NOWENNA DO ŚW. JÓZEFA W najbliższą środę zapraszamy do przyłączenia się do członkiń Holy Rosary Sodality w Nowennie do św. Józefa, jak zwykle o godz. 19:00. Wielokrotnie pośród próśb zanoszonych za wstawiennictwem św. Józefa o potrzebne łask od Boga, znajdują się również modlitwy uwielbienia i dziękczynienia.
