Our Parish School: We are part of an excellent co-sponsored elementary school: All Saints Academy. For information call: Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 4:00 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Novenas: Every Thursday Evening to Divine Mercy following the 7:00 pm Mass. Please be Generous! As Winter approaches, we at OLMC will again try to help alleviate some of the suffering of our homeless and neighborhood poor. Using the wood collection box by Blessed Mother, you may leave food cards (McDonald s, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Shop Rite) or cash to be distributed to the needy. God Will Reward You! Thursday, Oct. 22 is the Feast Day of St. John Paul II. The City of Bayonne will be blessed by the establishment of a parish under his name and protection this coming January. Please join the St. John Paul II Society at a special Mass, Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 PM. At the conclusion of the Mass, the relic of St. John Paul II will be available for veneration. We will also make his relic available at the conclusion of all Masses, Oct. 22. Month of Remembrance. In our Catholic tradition, we remember in a special way all of our deceased relatives and friends during November. Here at Mt. Carmel, we have Special Masses for All Souls remembrance. To enroll your loved ones, please use the envelopes included in your envelope packets. (Extra envelopes are found at the entrances of the church.) The envelopes may be placed in any collection or mailed to the rectory before November 1. All Souls Candles will be available next weekend at the church entrances. 4 November is the Month of Remembrance. Next month we honor and pray for our deceased relatives and friends. One of the ways we, as Catholics, have honored our dead is by Memorial Items. Our church is an historical testimony to the love of individuals and families who have honored their loved ones. Over the years, people have dedicated Windows, Tabernacles, Statues, Vestments, Chalices, Censors, Holy Water Fonts, Memorial Candle stands, and other Liturgical items for the edification of all who worship here. Make a tour of our church. Observe the beautiful statues, paintings and liturgical items. Read the dedications. Say a prayer for those whose families gifted Mt. Carmel with such treasures. This crown will be used for the major liturgical seasons( Christmas & Easter) and for the months of Mary (May & October.) 5 RÓŻAŃCOWY MIESIĄC PAŹDZIERNIK Nabożeństwa różańcowe w naszej parafii: Wtorek po Mszy Świętej o 7:00 PM (po angielsku) Czwartek po Mszy Świętej o 7:00 PM (po polsku). Niedziela - 3:00 PM (po polsku) WSZYSTKICH ŚWIĘTYCH I DZIEŃ ZADUSZNY W naszej katolickiej tradycji listopad jest miesiącem poświęconym pamięci zmarłych. W tym czasie pamiętamy szczególnie o naszych zmarłych krewnych i przyjaciołach. W naszej parafii w Dzień Zaduszny, 2 listopada, wszystkie Msze Święte będą odprawiane w intencji wszystkich poleconych nam zmarłych. Koperty na ten cel zostały wysłane do Państwa w pakiecie, a dodatkowe można zabrać przy wejściu do kościoła. Świece wotywne będą możliwe do nabycia w ten weekend oraz października. W czwartek, 22 października, przypada liturgiczne wspomnienie św. Jana Pawła II. Z tej okazji, w środę, 21 październikia o 7:00 PM Towarzystwo św. Jana Pawła II zaprasza na specjalną Mszę Świętą w języku angielskim. Po jej zakończeniu będzie możliwość uczczenia relikwii Jana Pawła II. Nasze świętowanie będziemy kontynuowali w sobotę, 24 października, w centrum parafialnym, gdzie odbędzie się bankiet Jesienne dożynki. Bilety w cenie $35 do nabycia przy wyjściach z kościoła. Bilety nie będą dostępne bezpośrednio przed kolacją. Dostępnych będzie tylko 150 biletów. Rezerwacja biletów: ext. 10 POMOC DLA BEZDOMNYCH I UBOGICH Jak co roku, gdy zbliża się zima, nasza parafia pragnie pamiętać o ludziach bezdomnych i ubogich z naszej okolicy. Do drewnianej skarbonki przy bocznym ołtarzu Matki Bożej, można wrzucać kartki żywnosciowe Mc Donald s, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Shop Rite, lub pieniądze. Wszelkie datki będą przekazane potrzebującym. Dziękujemy wszystkim ofiarodawcom staropolskim Bóg Zapłać!!! W przyszły weekend członkowie Rycerzy Kolumba (Knights of Columbus) będą kwestowali przy drzwiach kościoła prosząc o datki mające wspomóc ich pracę w programie prawo do życia (Pro Life). Prosimy o wspomożenie tej akcji w miarę możliwości! RUCH RODZIN NAZARETAŃSKICH Jest to międzynarodowy katolicki ruch apostolstwa rodzin, którego celem jest uświęcenie członków poprzez pogłębienie życia Ewangelią w oparciu o wspólnotę życia z Chrystusem w codzienności, naśladując Maryję. Jeżeli pragniesz włączyć się w to dzieło, chcesz pogłębić swoje życie duchowe i wiarę zapraszamy na spotkania w każdy poniedziałek o 6:00 PM w salce na plebanii. LISTOPAD MIESIĄCEM PAMIĘCI O BLISKICH ZMARŁYCH. Przez cały listopad, wspominamy i modlimy się za naszych zmarłych krewnych i przyjaciół. Jednym ze sposobów, którego możemy użyć, aby podtrzymać pamięć o naszych zmarłych, jest ufundowanie jakiejś rzeczy. Nasz kościół jest historycznym świadectwem miłości pojedynczych osób i rodzin, którzy uhonorowali swoich najbliższych w ten sposób. Przez lata, parafianie ufundowali witraże, tabernakula, statuy, szaty liturgiczne, kielichy, podstawy pod lampki wotywne i wiele innych przedmiotów używanych w liturgii. Jeśli ktoś byłby zainteresowany podarowaniem zasponsorowaniem jakiejś rzeczy w intencji swoich najbliższych, proszony jest o kontakt z ks. Proboszczem.
