Device should be supplied only from a power sources whose parameters are in accordance with those specified by the producer in the camera technical datasheet. 14 User s manual ver.1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION 2.2. Cameras installation NVIP-3DN3010H/IRH-1P To mount a camera please follow the instructions below: CAUTION! Put the bracket to the wall or ceiling in a desired mounting place Taking the bracket s base screw holes A as a pattern, mark future drilling holes for screws using a punch. Drill holes in accordance with previously done markings and base hole placement. Drill a hole for cable entry Mount the camera with bracket on the ceiling/wall using screws. Depending on needs, loosen the screw B, C or D, and make the necessary adjustment of camera in the horizontal and vertical plane. Please note that the wall or ceiling must have enough strength to support the IP Camera. B A D C Lens Adjustment: Loosen the lock screw and open the maintenance lid Adjust Zoom and Focus Close the lid and tighten the locking screw Note: Elements above are described further in the chapter 2.1. CAUTION! In order to obtain declared degree of protection please protect the camera connectors from moisture. Please pay special attention to: any mounting holes and if they are a loop-through ones, seal them too; properly tightening the screw locking maintenance lid. 15 User s manual ver.1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION NVIP-3DN2010D/IR-1P To install the camera please follow the instructions below: Rotate the camera cover and set a grove in the cover on a level with a gap in the base. Insert the key, from the package, to a slot in the base of the camera and gently twist it. Remove the camera cover. Place base of the camera in a desired place and use its mounting holes as a drilling pattern. Drill holes for screws and cables. Screw the camera onto desired surface using included screws (or different mounting kit not in set included if necessity arises). Adjust the position of the camera module. If required, loosen the screw blocking camera module. Adjust focal length and focus, using dedicated knobs. Put the camera cover onto the base and press it, till distinctive unlocking click CAUTION! Please note that the wall or ceiling must have enough strength to support the IP Camera. The camera module is mounted on the bracket that enables the possibility of 3-axis camera module adjustment. Drill mounting and cable holes in previously selected points. Remove dome from the camera unscrewing three screws located 120 degrees apart from each other, using Phillips screwdriver. Mount the camera using included screws (or different mounting kit not in set included if necessity arises) on smooth, even surface providing declared degree of IP protection. Adjust the position of the camera module. If required, loosen the screw blocking camera module. Adjust focal length and focus using proper levers. Put on the camera bubble again, matching screws to the corresponding holes located in the base of the camera and screwing until slight resistance is felt. NVIP-3DN4010V/IRH-1P (option with additional mounting base) In set included with the camera is an additional mounting base that allows to hide the camera connectors. The use of additional mounting base allows for easy access to the connectors, which is possible by removing the appropriate screws and tilt of the camera on the hinge. 17 User s manual ver.1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION To install the camera please follow the instructions below: Mark drilling holes using attached template. Drill mounting and cable holes in previously selected points. Screw the hinge to the camera base using M3x10 screw. Connect the camera base with additional mounting base connecting two parts of the hinge using M3x37 screw and M3 nut. Depending on chosen mode of wires supply (side or bottom) the unused hole must be sealed by screwing cap with gasket. Mount the camera with additional mounting base using included screws (or different mounting kit not in set included if necessity arises) on smooth, even surface providing declared degree of IP protection. Enter all the necessary cables into the additional mounting base and make a connection with the necessary cameras connectors (before connecting it is necessary to refer to the following sections of this manual where it explains how to connect the camera). Remove dome from the camera unscrewing three screws located 120 degrees apart from each other, using Phillips screwdriver. Mount the camera base to the additional mounting base using three M4x15 screws located 120 degrees apart from each other. Adjust the position of the camera module. If required, loosen the screw blocking camera module. Adjust focal length and focus using proper levers. Put on the camera bubble again, matching screws to the corresponding holes located in the base of the camera and screwing until slight resistance is felt. CAUTION! Please note that the wall or ceiling must have enough strength to support the IP Camera. CAUTION! In order to obtain declared degree of protection please protect the camera connectors from moisture. Please pay special attention to: any mounting holes and if they are a loop-through ones, seal them too; place of cable entry if necessary, seal or use a suitable cable gland (any additional sealing elements user must obtain on his own). Starting the IP camera In order to run NOVUS IP camera you have to: Connect power supply adapter with parameters compatible with camera power supply specification. Connect Ethernet cable between camera and network switch It is also possible to supply the camera using the same Ethernet cable used for data transmission. Supply source must be compatible with PoE (802.3 at Type1) standard. After connecting power supply, initialization process takes about 60 seconds. Connecting via a web browser is then possible. The recommended way to start an IP camera and perform its configuration is to connect it directly to the network switch which is not connected to other devices. To obtain further information about network configuration parameters (IP address, gateway, network mask, etc.) please contact your network administrator. In order to provide protection against voltage surges/lightning strikes, usage of appropriate surge protectors is advised. Any damages resulting from surges are not eligible for service repairs. 20 User s manual ver.1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION 2.5. Initial configuration via the web browser The default network settings for NVIP-3DN 1P camera series are : 1. IP address= Network mask Gateway User name - root 5. Password - pass Knowing the camera s IP address you need to appropriately set PC IP address, so the two devices can operate in one network subnet ( e.g. for PC address, appropriate address for the camera ranges from to , for example ). It is not allowed to set the same addresses for camera and PC computer You can set network configuration (IP address, gateway, net mask, etc.) of NOVUS IP camera or select DHCP mode (DHCP server is required in this method in target network) by using web browser or by NMS software. When you use DHCP server check IP address lease and its connection with camera MAC address to avoid changing or losing IP address during device operation or network/dhcp server breakdown. You have to remember to use a new camera IP address after changing network parameters. After network setting configuration has been done, the camera can be connected to a target network Parameter configuration using NMSiptool software NMSiptool software is available on the CD included in the set. In order to change network settings, please run the software and click the Discovery button. When cameras are found, please check their respective boxes, set their network settings (Start/End IP, Mask and Gateway) and select the IP Change. Network card 10/100/1000 Mb/s 3.2. Connection with IP camera via the Internet Explorer You have to enter camera IP address in the Internet Explorer address bar. If IP address is correct user login window will be displayed: Default user is root and default password is pass. For safety reasons, it is recommended to change default user name and password. In order to log in please select one of available modes: Viewer - view-only mode Manager - camera set-up mode Phone - view-only in 640x480 resolution mode. Viewer MODE (live view) When you log on to the camera and select Viewer mode of operation, web browser will download the applet for displaying images from the camera. Depending on the current Internet Explorer security settings it may be necessary to accept an ActiveX control. To do this, click the right mouse button on the message, select "Install Active X control" and then click Install. It may be necessary to allow popup windows displaying prior to the ActiveX installation. If the installation fails, changing security settings for the IE browser is required. In order to do that, please choose: Tools > Internet options > Security tab > Custom level and: Under Download unsigned ActiveX controls - select either Enable or Prompt Under Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe - select Enable or Prompt You can also add the camera s IP address to trusted zone and set the lowest security level for it. In addition, when working in Windows Vista the ActiveX applet may be blocked by Windows Defender. In such case you should allow to run this applet, or simply disable the Windows Defender. General information Selecting the Manager mode (presented in chapter 3.2) results in Internet Explorer downloading an applet responsible for displaying config menu of the camera. The following screen appears: Window contains information on general camera status, firmware version etc. Stream connection provides information on the type of codec selected as well as stream resolution. Additionally, full RTSP paths to respective streams are also displayed. CAUTION! Position described above provides information on camera streams if the have already been successfully configured. IP Address: Dynamic (DHCP) - selecting it causes the camera to obtain its IP automatically from an DHCP server. IP address assigned to the camera may be read from the Assigned IP field. Static - Selecting this option requires manual input of the IP address, Mask and Gateway values. Note: Setting a proper IP address as well as subnet Mask is required for proper camera functioning. Additionally, Gateway and DNS server settings are required when camera is utilised outside of LAN Web port Tab is responsible for setting a port number that the web client will run on. In order for synchronization to work properly, please configure appropriate Time zone and domain name/ip address of the NTP server. Note: In order for the synchronization function to work properly please configure camera network settings first. User set - manual time/date setting. Selecting Sync. PC synchronizes the time with PC s internal clock. Daylight Saving Time (DST) - allows to set the time period during which the camera will operate in DST mode User registration This menu position allows to configure user accounts and assign them privileges, such as: viewer (authorized only to run the web client in View mode, without audio feed), user (as previously, with additional audio feed) and all - video feed and bidirectional audio transmission. Closing all other applications and running only one active camera in the Internet Explorer window during the upgrade is strongly recommended. Power failure or turning the device off during upgrade may result in camera damage and a necessity of service repair. Tab serves as a tool for firmware upgrade. Version position contains current firmware version number as well as hardware number. In order to update the firmware, please select Browse, then point to a file containing update (*.zif extension) and click Start. When the confirmation prompt shows up, please click OK. Update process takes about 1 minute to complete, please do not perform any other actions associated with the camera and ensure proper power supply for it. After update, please select the Restart. Upon completing the restart, restoring factory defaults is strongly advised (restoring defaults is described in detail in subsequent chapter of this guide) Reset/Restart This tab allows to restore factory defaults as well as reboot the camera. Please confirm your intention by clicking the OK. Factory defaults & Restart Selecting said position causes the device to restore all default settings, including aforementioned ones. Available values: 2048x1536, 1600x1200, 1920x1080, 1280x1024, 1280x960, 1280x720, 1024x768. Input 2 - Selects resolution for input 2. available values: 1024x768, 640x480, 320x240, none. Stream setting Clicking the Show/Hide either enables or disables advanced stream configuration. Stream 1 - stream 1 parameters Stream 2 - stream 2 parameters Stream 3 - stream 3 parameters Source - Input 1 indicates that stream resolution is in accordance with Input 1 settings. Input 2 refers to settings from the second input respectively. Codec - First stream supports only H.264 codec, remaining ones support H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG encoding. FPS - selects stream frame rate in 1-30 range. Depending on system configuration (active streams, resolution, bit rate) the maximum frame rate is different. Below table contain example configurations and frame rate values possible to get (for H.264 codec). Bit Rate (kbps) - sets the stream bit rate in Kbps range. Bit rate directly affects picture quality Kbps and 512 Kbps are default values for streams 1 and 2 respectively. Rate mode - toggles between CBR (constant bit ratio, with the values set in the Bit rate tab) and VBR (variable bit ratio) modes. Note: Saving settings forces camera restart in order to apply them Audio Audio Audio input - selecting Enable activates the input. Gain adjusts volume in range. If a recording file exceeds the size limit it will be cropped, even if its duration exceeds it. 41 User s manual ver.1.0 WWW INTERFACE - WORKING WITH IP CAMERA Day & Night Change Day (color) - forces camera to operate in day mode continuously Night (B/W) - forces camera to operate in b/w mode Auto - camera switches between two modes automatically, in accordance with illumination level. +D&N Change Point - sets day/night switching threshold for the camera. Moving slider in the Bright direction will cause the camera to switch to night mode at higher illumination level (i.e. earlier). Below slider are displayed selected switching threshold values. Select an item CDS / ADC will display an additional window with information about the current level of light detected by the camera light sensor. Function allows for precise setting of the day/night switching level. LPR Function allows to define two different shutter speed values for Day mode (color) mode and Night mode (B/W) what gives the possibility the effective observation of vehicle license plates. Note: In order to effectively observation of vehicle number plates shutter speed value should be set highest as possible for current lighting conditions. Activate IR LEDs - enables/disables IR illuminator in b/w operating mode. Auto - automatic balance settings Indoor K color temperature setting (optimal for cameras working indoors). Outdoor color temperature setting (optimal for cameras working outdoors). Fluorescent K color temperature setting (optimal when scene illumination is predominantly of fluorescent origin). User - manual setting mode. When modes mentioned above do not provide satisfying color representation please consider performing manual settings in order to achieve them. Red and blue color components are adjustable by sliders, in range. Specific color temperature - function allows to adjust the camera to observation of the scene with some specific color temperature. Enable - enables or disables illumination compensation function Light compensation - Backlight (backlight compensation) or Frontlight (front light compensation). When enabled, five levels of intensiveness become available DNR (digital noise reduction) This tab allows to adjust the DNR function intensiveness in 1-63 range Effect This tab is responsible for managing various picture effects: Color Bar - displays TV test pattern Mono - displays b/w test pattern Negative - displays negative of the video feed Sense Up This tab allows to enable/disable the digital slow shutter function (which elongates opening time of the shutter together with a drop in illumination) in the 1-14 range. Full Auto - full automatic shutter operation; 1/25 ~ 1/15000, 1/50 ~ 1/15000, 1/100 ~ 1/15000, 1/150 ~ 1/15000, 1/200 ~ 1/ automatic shutter operation in the defined shutter speed range. Suppress rolling - automatic shutter operation, with parameters adjusted to compensate picture flickering - especially noticeable in certain illumination conditions, such as fluorescent lighting etc. Two options are available: Auto - shutter works in auto mode with 1/30, 1/40, 1/60 and 1/120 speeds (depending on illumination); Fixed - principle of operation remains the same as before, however when shutter speed exceeds 1/120 (i.e. when the illumination level is high) the function switches to automatic mode. CONNECTING VIA OTHER WEB BROWSERS (Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari etc.) Connecting the camera via other browsers is also possible, however the functionality of their respective Web clients is severely restricted. Connecting to camera is performed in the same manner as IE one. After entering a proper IP address please log in using appropriate login and password. Two positions become available after successful login, namely the Manager and Phone (640x480 resolution-only view). CAUTION! Viewer mode is not available. 7. CONNECTING TO IP CAMERA USING SMART PHONE-TYPE DEVICES. Connections from mobile devices are possible using their respective web browsers. RESTORING FACTORY DEFAULTS NOVUS IP cameras allow to restore defaults via: software (web browser level) resetting the camera settings hardware (using FACTORY) restores factory defaults Restoring factory defaults by software means There are two modes of restoring factory defaults. First mode restores factory default except TCP/IP, HTTP and DNS settings and the second mode restores all factory defaults. Option is available under the SYSTEM > RESET/RESTART menu Restoring hardware factory defaults In order to restore factory defaults for the camera please follow the instructions: connect the power supply of the camera and wait about one minute until initialization process is finished press the FACTORY button and hold it for about 10 seconds release the button after one minute connect with the camera using default settings : IP address ( ), user name: root and password: pass. Uruchomienie kamer IP W celu uruchomienia kamery należy: Podłączyć zasilanie kamery z zewnętrznego stabilizowanego zasilacza o parametrach spełniających wymagania kamery. Podłączyć kabel ethernetowy do gniazda sieciowego RJ45 kamery IP, a drugi koniec do przełącznika sieciowego. Możliwe jest również zasilenie kamery wykorzystując ten sam kabel ethernetowy, który wykorzystywany jest do transmisji danych. Źródłem takiego zasilania musi być urządzenie zgodne ze standardem PoE (802.3at Type 1). Po podłączeniu zasilania kamery należy odczekać około 60 sekund. Następnie można przystąpić do łączenia się z kamerą przez przeglądarkę internetową. Zalecaną metodą uruchomienia i konfiguracji kamery IP jest połączenie jej do komputera PC lub laptopa w wydzielonym przełączniku, do którego nie ma podłączonych innych urządzeń. W przypadku zasilania z zewnętrznego zasilacza wystarczy zastosować dowolny przełącznik sieciowy, lub kabel (skrosowany) podłączony bezpośrednio do komputera. W celu uzyskania danych potrzebnych do konfiguracji sieci (adres IP, brama, maska sieci itd.) należy skontaktować się z administratorem sieci, w której urządzenie ma pracować. Konfiguracja parametrów przy użyciu przeglądarki internetowej Konfigurację sieciową kamery można przeprowadzić przy pomocy przeglądarki internetowej. Domyślne ustawienia sieciowe dla kamery NVIP-3DN3010H/IRH-1P to : 1. Adres IP = Maska sieci Brama Nazwa użytkownika - root 5. Hasło - pass Znając adres IP kamery należy ustawić adres IP komputera w taki sposób, aby oba urządzenia pracowały w jednej podsieci (dla adresu IP kamery jako adres IP komputera PC możemy ustawić adres z zakresu , np.: ). Niedopuszczalne jest ustawianie adresu komputera takiego samego jak adres kamery. Wykorzystując połączenie przez przeglądarkę internetową Internet Explorer lub oprogramowanie NMS należy ustawić docelową konfigurację sieciową (adres IP, maskę sieci, bramę, serwery DNS) lub włączyć tryb pracy DHCP pozwalający na pobranie adresu IP z serwera DHCP (wymagany jest wówczas działający serwer DHCP). W przypadku korzystania z serwera DHCP należy upewnić się co do długości okresu dzierżawy adresu IP, jego powiązania z adresem MAC kamery IP w celu uniknięcia zmiany lub utraty adresu IP w czasie pracy urządzenia lub chwilowej awarii sieci / serwera DHCP. Należy pamiętać że po zmianie adresu IP kamera zostanie zresetowana i trzeba wpisać nowy adres w przeglądarce internetowej. Po konfiguracji ustawień sieciowych pozwalających na bezkonfliktową pracę urządzenia, kamerę IP możemy podłączyć do sieci docelowej Konfiguracja parametrów przy użyciu programu NMSiptool Program NMSiptool jest dostępny na płycie CD dołączonej do kamery. W celu zmiany ustawień sieciowych należy uruchomić program, a następnie wybrać pozycję Wyszukaj. Po wyszukaniu kamer należy zaznaczyć je na liście, zdefiniować nowe ustawienia sieciowe (IP startowe, Maska oraz Brama) a następnie wybrać pozycję Przeadresuj kamery. Ze względów bezpieczeństwa zaleca się zmianę domyślnych wartości. Nową nazwę użytkownika i hasło należy zapamiętać lub zapisać w bezpiecznym miejscu. W celu zalogowania się należy wybrać jeden z trybów: Viewer - logowanie do trybu podglądu Manager - logowanie do trybu konfiguracji kamery Phone - logowanie w trybie podglądu w rozdzielczości 640x480. W zależności od aktualnych ustawień bezpieczeństwa może okazać się konieczne zezwolenie na wyskakujące okienka. W tym celu należy wybrać pozycję Zawsze zezwalaj na wyskakujące okienka dla tej witryny, a następnie wybrać Tak. W przypadku, gdy wyskakujące okienka nie są blokowane przez przeglądarkę, od razu pojawi się poniższy ekran: Należy kliknąć prawym przyciskiem myszy na komunikacie, a następnie wybrać pozycję Uruchamiaj dodatek we wszystkich witrynach. Dodatkowo w przypadku pracy w systemie Windows Vista i 7 możliwe jest zablokowanie apletu ActiveX przez Windows Defender i Kontrolę konta użytkownika. W takim przypadku należy zezwolić na uruchamianie dodatku lub po prostu wyłączyć działanie blokujących aplikacji. Na etapie instalacji dodatku opisanej na poprzedniej stronie w lewym dolnym rogu okna pojawia się pozycja ActiveX Tool. Należy jej użyć w przypadku wystąpienia problemów z przeprowadzeniem instalacji dodatków. Po wybraniu w/w pozycji pojawi się poniższe okno. Należy postępować zgodnie z instrukcją w nim opisaną.
