12 NVIP-DN6137SD user s guide, version 1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION 2.2. Mounting the camera In order to obtain declared watertightness camera should be mounted on flat, smooth surfaces. When mounting the camera on uneven/rough surfaces please seal the mounting place additionally with appropriate sealing mass, paying special attention to mounting holes. Caution! Due to safety reasons, maximum load capacity of surface shouldn t be less than 25kg. In order to successfully mount a camera, please follow the procedure below: Put the bracket to the wall in a desired mounting place (with cable hole). Taking the bracket s base screw holes as a pattern, mark future drilling holes for screws using a punch. Drill 4 holes in accordance with previously done markings and base hole placement (when mounting the camera to concrete surfaces please purchase appropriate mounting accessories) Put required cables through the seal and bracket s arm. Mount the bracket with seal, paying special attention to all mounting holes and additionally sealing them with appropriate sealing mass if necessary. Using safety cable, attach the dome to the bracket. All rights reserved AAT Holding sp. z o.o. 12

13 NVIP-DN6137SD user s guide, version 1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION Connect required signal and power supply cables. Put the excess cable back into the bracket. Caution! Please pay special attention to avoiding mismatching RJ45 Ethernet/Power supply connectors. MAIN connector features black, flat cable which needs to be connected with MAIN input, while Ethernet should be connected to LAN port. Put the dome onto the bracket so the vertical markings on the dome and bracket s surface are aligned and turn right until resistance is felt. Screw the camera to the bracket using three Torx M4X18 screws (key included). Please make sure that the casing fits the bracket after screwing, otherwise the rubber gasket won t fill its purpose and water may get inside the camera. Remove the lens plug from the camera module. Attach camera bubble to the casing paying special attention to rubber gasket. Please make sure that the gasket fits the gap between bubble and casing, otherwise water may get inside the camera. CAUTION! The supply voltage should be turned on when camera unit is completely installed. Otherwise, enter camera s menu and reboot it after finishing installation IP camera start-up To start an IP camera, please connect it to the power supply using power supply adapter. Next, connect the Ethernet cable between the PC or network switch and IP camera. After connecting power supply, respectively yellow and green LEDs (located next to LAN port) should blink, indicating initialization process which takes about 30 seconds. 14 NVIP-DN6137SD user s guide, version 1.0 START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION If the connection is successfully established connecting via web browser is then possible. If connection isn t established (the network cable is disconnected) STATUS LED isn t active. The recommended way to start an IP camera and perform its configuration is a connection through crossover cable with your PC or laptop. To obtain further information about network configuration parameters (IP address, gateway, network mask, etc.) please contact your network administrator. IP camera Cross-over cable PC Network configuration of camera may be performed via a web browser or the NMS software using default network IP address: Initial configuration via the web browser The default network settings for NVIP-xDN6 IP camera series are : 1. IP address= Network mask Gateway User name - root 5. Password - pass With the camera s IP address set, PC IP address also needs to be appropriately configured, so the two devices can operate in one network subnet ( e.g. for IP , appropriate address for the camera ranges from to , for example ). It is not allowed to set the same addresses for camera and PC computer Using Internet Explorer or NMS software, please set desired network configuration (IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS servers) or enable DHCP that allows to obtain IP address directly from the DHCP server (requires a properly operating DHCP server). When using DHCP please check DHCP IP lease settings and its MAC assignment to IP camera in order to avoid IP address change during device operation or sudden network/dhcp server failure. Please keep in mind that after IP change camera reboots and entering a new IP address is required in the Web browser window. After network setting configuration has been done, the camera can be connected to a target network. All rights reserved AAT Holding sp. z o.o. 14
