1 Numer referencyjny projektu: DE2-GRU Nazwa organizacji: Stowarzyszenie Zielone Dzieci Auf den Spuren der Dichter / Śladami poetów Stowarzyszenie Policultura oraz Stowarzyszenie Zielone Dzieci nawiązały kontakt ze sobą na corocznych spotkaniach Międzynarodowego Forum Mediów Polonijnych. Tam powstał pomysł na zrealizowanie projektu o wspólnym dziedzictwie kulturowym wytworzonym przez dwóch pisarzy (niemieckiego i polskiego) Ernsta Wiecherta i Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego, a którzy mieszkali zarówno w Polsce, jak i w Niemczech. Grupa wolontariuszy z Berlina (6 osób) oraz z Mazur (6 osób) zgodziła się pomagać w pracach badawczych. Wolontariusze z Berlina będą podążać śladami poetów na terenie Mazur i zbierać materiał informacyjny w postaci zdjęć, wywiadów z mieszkańcami, pisemnych pamiątek związanych z życiem i twórczością poetów, tworzyć dźwiękowy zapis wspólnej historii. To samo będą czynić wolontariusze z Mazur na terenie Berlina. W Berlinie będą szukać miejsc związanych z pobytem pisarzy w tym mięście. Zadaniem wolontariuszy będzie sfotografowanie i opisanie obecnej sytuacji pamiątkowych miejsc i zachowanych pamiątek po pisarzach. Na podstawie zebranych materiałów pozostali członkowie obu organizacji wraz ze specjalistami (historykami, filologami, grafikami, archiwistami i dziennikarzami) przygotują wystawę, która będzie prezentowana w polsko-niemieckiej księgarni Buchbund w Berlinie oraz Leśniczówce PRANIE mazurskim muzeum Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego w Polsce. Efekty programu i prac badawczych zostaną przedstawione na konferencji z udziałem Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Miłośników Twórczości Ernsta Wiecherta. W planie istnieje również stworzenie filmu dokumentalnego. Podczas prac wolontariackich towarzyszyć będzie seniorom kamera, która rejestrować będzie cały przebieg projektu. Poprzez pryzmat wolontariuszy, nabywaniu przez nich wiedzy i wzrastającej świadomości, ich komentarzy i zachowań chcemy przekazać informacje o obu pisarzach, ich twórczości oraz zaskakujących postawach życiowych. Zakres realizacji filmu dokumentalnego uzależniony będzie od funduszy, o które oba stowarzyszenia się ubiegają. Do realizacji projektu zgłosili się seniorzy, którzy znają twórczość jednego z poetów, a w trakcie swojej pracy będą mieli okazję poznać poetę z innego kraju. Projekt ma zwiększyć aktywność seniorów, sprawić, by dzielili się swoimi doświadczeniami i wiedzą, i pomóc przełamywać bariery międzykulturowe, wzmocnić ich poczucie wartości jako członka społeczeństwa, ma też ubogacić ich kulturowo i być źródłem satysfakcji i samorozwoju. 1

Enlivening aged colours E.LI. is a Senior Volunteering Project written by senior volunteers who want to explore the innovative perspective of HOW OLD IS OLD?.With our respective University of Third Age we want to focus mainly on strategies and innovative methodologies to avoid the ILLITERACY OF RETURN, so typical of retired people, and on the permanence of the elderly in their own socio cultural context as to prevent them from feeling estranged and destined to an anonymous and depersonalizing retirement home, that brings to institutionalization of the elders. The members of our voluntary associations know the golden rule: E.LI. Enduring life! Enlivening aged colours and we say welcome to a longer life and to the chance to have a meaningful and amusing time. How to carry it out usefully developing best practices is our challenge.e.li. final objective is to contribute in IMPROVING THEIR/OUR QUALITY OF LIFE by bolstering a common European vision for elders to be looked as a useful resource for potential, skills and knowledge. 2

3 Numer referencyjny projektu: LT1-GRU Nazwa organizacji: Uniwersytet Trzeciego Wieku w Białymstoku AFIS(ZA):Active Framework for Intercultural Solidarity (Zenith of Ageing) The project Active Framework for Intercultural Solidarity (Zenith of Ageing) or AFIS(ZA), developed by Petrasiunai Community Center in Kaunas, Lithuania and The University of Third Age in Bialystok, Poland seeks to help the seniors within organizations to become better adult educators as well as understanding neighbours and better European citizens. The themes for AFIS(ZA) framework is learning about the folk art coming from Lithuania and Northeast Poland, intercultural exchange, training about and carrying out volunteering various social groups (including the hours devoted to disadvantaged citizens and mothers with children). Intergenerational solidarity will be a key part of the project that seeks to say a useful and learning person is in the Zenith of Ageing in spite of what factual age one has reached. 3

4 Numer referencyjny projektu: PL1-GRU Nazwa organizacji: Stowarzyszenie Aktywne Kobiety Empowered women change the world The project assumes partnership cooperation between Active Women Association from Poland and ANAFI Associazione from Italy. Both organizations will exchange 12 senior volunteers over a period of 2 years. Volunteers will spend 5 weeks working voluntary with local communities, running study circles, cultural workshops and meetings, presenting their culture and women s issues to the public. Target group is 12 women at the age of 50+ who are at the end of their professional career or are retired., their children are already grown-up, they are not overworked with family duties so they can become more active in social and public life in their communities.due to social barriers,stereotypes and discriminations( sex/gender + age discrimination) the target group of women very often experience lower feeling of being redundant, lack of control over their own life both in private, social and professional sphere. Women of 50+ experience syndrome of abandoned nest and often look for various forms of activities which can make sense of their life. The purpose of the project is empowerment of women 50+ from two European countries - Poland and Italy - in the sphere of their positions in social life. The purpose of the project is to enable senior female citizens to volunteer in another European country for a kind of nonprofit activity, as a form of informal learning activity. Another aim of the project is to create lasting partnerships between two participating organizations and around a specific topic and target group ( empowerment of women 50+), thanks to the exchange of volunteers. The project may involve participants with fewer opportunities, from rural areas and marginalized due to economical reasons. The exchange and mobility will offer to the volunteers the possibility of developing their personal and social potential as well as getting to know better another culture and new environment. As a result of joint work and empowerment s experience exchange the participants will build a support network which can be relevant for their future elicitation. By expanding knowledge, social awareness, personal and psychological competencies the participants will improve their subjective well-being and quality of life. Partnership Cooperation successfully built during the project will be working together on the next European initiatives. Contacts and links established among participants, civil society organizations, local community will enable future cooperation based on the results and recommendations. 4

Senior Volunteers for Peaceful Europe The general aim of the project is to strengthen cooperation between efka and S.U.S.I. in the field of memory and history and to integrate older persons, especially older women, in to society by intergenerational learning activities both as learners concerning the other culture and as educators on the basis of their biographical expertise. Senior volunteers will be active collaborators and participants of educational projects involving biographical approach and learning from biographies. The core of those educational projects will be post-memory and the high value of peace. The senior volunteers will be both living example during educational activities and participants of the organisational and educational work of the partner organisations. Volunteers will be participants of local groups working on forms of memory of the post-war generations in their countries. During their stay in the other country they will participate in educational events concerning the late social, cultural and psychological consequences of the IIWW. They will collaborate both in preparing and in conducting the educational events as biographical experts. They will also learn basic German / Polish. Together with the partner organisations volunteers will develop a lively internet platform for 2.generation issues. 5

Joanny Boehnert Pole and Hungarian, two good friends The main topic of the project Pole and Hungarian, two good friends is to discover, research, and develop the common history and the common present of our two countries as well as the special relationship between them, illustrated by the saying which is the project title. The general aims of the project are to enable seniors to perform volunteer work in the partner country and, through this, to learn about the historical and the present links between our nations and to consider how they might develop in the future. The general aims also include the creation of opportunities for seniors to share knowledge and experience with their peers abroad and for partner organizations to develop a lasting and worthwhile cooperation. The objectives include the arrangement of 3 volunteering visits in each organization which will involve the hosting and sending of 6 volunteers from each country. Each visit will last for 3 weeks and will be preceded by a rich programme of local activities organised to match and to prepare for the tasks of the visit. Both partner organizations work with the same target group - seniors - and they specialise in organising educational activities for them. It follows that both volunteering tasks and local activities will be focused on organising and performing attractive educational activities and events for local seniors and community members. These will be related to the main theme of the project, and there will be almost the same agenda in both countries. The crowning achievement of the project will be a common celebration of the Day of Hungarian-Polish Friendship on March 23. 6

7 Numer referencyjny projektu: PL1-GRU Nazwa organizacji: Społeczny Instytut Ekologiczny Ecosynergy 50+ connecting south and nord Europe The work for a sustainable future has become the most important challenge in 21 century. All who understand and are willing to participate in building a world that respects the environment, nature and cultural diversity need to come together. Seniors have an important role to play in this action - their experience, knowledge of tradition and culture, a sustainable perception of reality are qualities that can make a significant contribution to the results of this work. The idea of the project EcoSynergy50plus is to build, using ICT, an international network of collaboration among seniors and synergy their knowledge and activity in subjects related to environment and culture. To familiarize seniors with ICT, to teach them the basics of new languages (English/Polish/Turkish), to give them the opportunity to learn about different cultures, traditions and history to understand the multicultural and multinational union of Europe in this sense, the project is innovative. Each of the 12 senior volunteers will spend three weeks in the partner s organization and support it through ecological and cultural activities, will share their knowledge, competence and - in the meantime - increase their skills and knowledge of the new country, and inspire each other. Seniors will take part in organizing environmental and cultural festivals, activities promoting culture and tradition, environmental education and nature protection. The project will break the language and technology barrier thanks to a language course, a Thematic Dictionary (English/Turkish/ Polish) and a computer course. The social platform - already started for the first seniors volunteering project - will be up-dated with new information, new contacts, will inform about project meetings and workshops, with a photo gallery, new word in the dictionary etc. This informational tool will also allow the involvement of local communities and local NGOs in building the seniors network. 7

The main foundation of the project 50+ time to be active is a mutual education and skillsharing between volunteers, local society and partner organizations in order to establish longlasting cooperation. The project assumes four 3-weeks visits for essentially 12 volunteers (6 from Spain, 6 from Poland). Ultimate choice of volunteers will be preceded by numerous consultations between partners. Volunteers profile will be adjusted to the type of performed non-profit work using questionnaires and interviews carried out by our organizations. We ll consider senior s interests, knowledge and needs, providing equal chances. Every volunteer will have the English-speaking mentor, who will be looking after the senior and monitoring his work in cooperation with both organizations. During the exchange volunteers in collaboration with the mentor and the hosts organization will prepare activities to promote the activity of seniors citizens in each of the countries and they will join local activities as well. Seniors will participate in the meetings informing about the project s assumptions (work type, rights, obligations), socio-cultural, and language and computer curses as well. After the project there will be the evaluation of project activities, the use and dissemination of results through websites, media, meetings. 8

Zamenhofa Seniorzy + Esperanto = Dialog między różnymi kulturami Projekt Wolontariatu Seniorów zatytułowany Seniorzy + Esperanto = Dialog między różnymi kulturami, ma zamiar stać się początkiem owocnej współpracy polsko-włoskiej w oparciu o spontaniczne, dobrowolne dzielenie się doświadczeniami, mające doprowadzić do wzbogacenia i rozwoju zarówno jednostek, jak i organizacji zaangażowanych w projekt. Projekt ten, związany bezpośrednio z Europejskim Rokiem Obywateli 2013, będzie skupiał się na jednym szczególnym aspekcie aktywnego obywatelstwa ukaże edukację dorosłych jako narzędzie do walki z nacjonalizmem, szowinizmem i ksenofobią poprzez aktywne nauczanie i studiowanie języka esperanto. Dwaj partnerzy, Fundacja im. L. Zamenhofa (FLZ) i Federazione Esperantista Italiana (FEI), uważają, że edukacja dorosłych i promowanie esperanto mogą pomóc w umocnieniu ponadnarodowej solidarności i wewnętrznej spójności w UE. W ramach obchodów piątej rocznicy powstania Centrum im. L. Zamenhofa w Białymstoku polska organizacja FLZ i jej włoski partner inicjują Projekt Wolontariatu Seniorów w Białymstoku (Polska) i w Mazara del Vallo (Włochy). Wolontariusze polscy i włoscy zajmą się przede wszystkim nauczaniem języka esperanto w lokalnych instytutach szkolnych. Będą też mieli okazję uczestniczyć w wielu inicjatywach i festiwalach kulturalnych, oferując jednocześnie swoją pomoc przy organizacji tych wydarzeń oraz aktywnie promując język esperanto. Ponadto wolontariusze wezmą aktywny udział w dokumentowaniu tych imprez oraz zrealizują wideo i relacje pisemne dotyczące działalności obu organizacji. Organizacje FLZ i FEI, dwaj partnerzy w tym projekcie, wierzą, że możliwe jest utrzymanie i określenie tożsamości kulturowej nie tylko poprzez naukę języka ojczystego, ale także poprzez studiowanie dodatkowego języka obcego, umożliwiającego komunikację między wieloma środowiskami różnojęzycznymi. Projekt zakłada, że optymalnym rozwiązaniem problemów lingwistycznych powinno być wprowadzenie wspólnego języka, lingua franca, takiego jak esperanto, co pozwoliłoby na płynną komunikację między osobami różnojęzycznymi, pomogłoby w budowie otwartego i tolerancyjnego społeczeństwa europejskiego i umożliwiłoby realny dialog między różnymi kulturami. Dzięki odpowiedniemu przygotowaniu, wolontariusze będą mieli okazję wziąć udział w naprawdę wyjątkowym doświadczeniu, przyczyniając się znacząco do ubogacenia działalności zarówno własnej organizacji, jak i tej goszczącej ich zagranicą. Kluczem do sukcesu organizacyjnego tego projektu jest ścisłe współdziałanie i stała wymiana informacji między partnerami, co pozwoli na obopólny rozwój organizacji oraz owocne kontynuowanie współpracy w najbliższej i dalszej przyszłości. 9

10 Numer referencyjny projektu: PL1-GRU Nazwa organizacji: Fundacja Human Project VOLUNTARIO INTERNACIONAL 50 + Voluntario Internacional 50+ no es sólo un proyecto de intercambio de voluntarios entre Fundacja Human Project en Polonia y Fedacod de España, sino también la transferencia de conocimientos y experiencia de 12 personas y 2 organizaciones de diferentes culturas, que permite el fortalecimiento de la integración social en Europa de las personas de más de 50 años, a través del fomento de la actividad voluntaria (incluidos inmigrantes y mujeres). El elemento unificador de las actividades del proyecto es la educación intercultural y entre generaciones (a nivel de los voluntarios, las organizaciones y la comunidad), a través del conocimiento, el compartir experiencias con otras culturas y edades y la inclusión de los voluntarios en las comunidades locales (cursos de idiomas, encuentros, actividades artísticas y ocio). Así mismo, promueve una ciudadanía activa, la equidad de género, la lucha contra el racismo y la xenofobia. Los voluntarios mejoran sus habilidades lingüísticas, el uso de nuevas tecnologías y el trabajo en equipo en un entorno internacional. Nuestro objetivo a largo plazo es la promoción de la cooperación internacional para el logro de una sociedad diversa en la que cada cultura, grupo étnico o grupo de edad se siente parte integral y no experimente discriminación. 10

In times when the common food is in bad quality and Europe loses its culinary heritage what was built for centuries there is a need to explore, cultivate and preserve old local tastes which appear in local products. Also around the table people always were gathering sharing their opinions, impression, discussing new ideas. The good food products were the natural cause to talk, to smile and to be happy. XX century gave to the people in Europe affluence and removed the famine. Unfortunately with the full of baskets and supermarkets of industrial food we cannot find local and traditional products widely on the market. XXI century is the century of local tradition, local activities, local food and products. Both partnership countries have long history and have own farming and culinary traditions. Those traditions were kept and preserved mostly in countryside in farms producing food for own needs or in small amounts. With this project we give the chance to share this knowledge of local product and its success. The project will built the bridge between the north and south, between two nations who have a lot of natural and traditional products. During the project there are planned several activities such ICT workshops, language workshops, creating the dictionary and build a multifunctional website for seniors to share the experiences and recipes. To promote the idea of seniors volunteers and the project topics each partners planned also 4 meetings with the participation of volunteers, partners staff, local communities and media. Totally there will be 720 hours of volunteers work. To ensure the sustainability of the project the partners planned to use electronic methods of learning, to reduce paper use and communicate via and Skype. 11

Six Polish seniors 50+ will pass 3weeks long mobilities to Czech republic and same in opposite until May Both partners work on rising environmental awareness, promoting healthy living-style and supporting rural development in their regions. Following objectives of Strategy Europe 2020 for sustainable development we need transnational dialogue, experience exchange and sharing the best ideas. Both partners comprehend LLP as an opportunity to build green bridges for a common sustainable future. The site of both partner is rural and similar in its undeveloped state. Wellbeing of local seniors is derived from general conditions of their regions: geographical, educational and social barriers. We appreciate the role of seniors for their experience, knowledge, ability to share and their involvement in helping others. On the other hand we can see how seniors motivation decline due to lower opportunities they have. The project idea is to give the seniors impulses for active use of their values in this meaning the project has multidimensional aspects: inclusion, participation and building. Seniors will take part in hosts' activities and apply newly gained experience back home. 12

The main foundation of the project is a mutual education and skill-sharing between volunteers, local society and partner organizations in order to establish long-lasting cooperation. With this project we want to continue the program of senior citizens exchange which is the educational tool for raising the social awareness, breaking negative stereotypes and strengthening interpersonal bonds to build solidarity in Europe. The project assumes four 3-weeks visits for essentially 12 volunteers (6 from Czech Republic, 6 from Poland). Ultimate choice of volunteers will be preceded by numerous consultations between partners through s, phones or videoconferences. Volunteers profile will be adjusted to the type of performed non-profit work using questionnaires and interviews carried out by our organizations. We ll consider senior s interests, knowledge and needs, providing equal chances. Seniors will participate in the meetings informing about the project s assumptions (work type, rights, obligations), socio-cultural conditions of the whereabouts. We ll organize language courses for volunteers if necessary. Every volunteer will have the English-speaking mentor, who will be looking after the senior and monitoring his work in cooperation with both organizations. After the project there will be the evaluation of project activities, the use and dissemination of results through websites, media, meetings. 13

Project is to support a long-term cooperation between two organizations: Instytut Działań Twórczych - IDT from Poland and Language and Cultural Centre World at Our Home from Latvia and to contribute to their local communities. The Project results from the exchange of experience of the partners in relation to informal and non-formal adult education and their very strong interest and expertise in volunteering and cultural exchange. Both are recognized in their local communities as providers of high-quality activities related to non-formal education, informal learning and intercultural dialogue. The main aim of this Project is to increase the volume of cooperation between them and maintain the partnership by supporting each other in the exchange of 12 senior volunteers who will actively participate in the preparation and implementation of activities promoting their culture and traditions, and customs related to dancing, singing, storytelling and cooking in local communities. Four exchanges are planned between April 2014 and May Main theme of the Project is intercultural dialogue and cultural aspects of traditional dancing and singing and implemented by civic activities taken up by persons over 50 years old. 14

15 Numer referencyjny projektu: PL1-GRU Nazwa organizacji: kobiety.lodz.pl Uniting Senior Volunteers through Media The Project s aim is to give meaningful experience to senior citizens creating a long-term cooperation between kobiety.lodz.pl (Poland) and Youthnet Hellas (Greece) in the frame of adult education. Partners will support each other in the exchange of 12 senior volunteers (6 per country) who will participate in social activities for 3 weeks. Volunteers from Poland will be mainly women, involved in the activities relating to ICT communication as well as to women issues and feminity. Volunteers from Greece will also be mainly women because during the project a lot of gender issues will be examined. They will develop workshops for local people in order to share their knowledge and experience regarding the Project theme. In long-run all these activities will improve the accessibility and quality of mobility of senior citizens. Seniors will contribute with to high quality social initiatives performed by Youthnet Hellas and Kobiety.lodz.pl and later on be agents of change in their local communities. 15
